It is time to sack Tim 'The Fonz' Sheens

Mistakes come with fatigue I can,t be bothered to going into it but if another Forward was on the bench and if the bench was used correctly many of the mistakes will dissappear.

IMO We still don't have the players nor the coach to win the comp and this becomes very evident as soon as we start to get injuries to our key players. With a fully fit squad we are a big chance.I was praising Cayless and thought that after 8/9 games he would be back to his best but that never happened. He is only a shadow of his former self. We need to strengthen our roster with firstly a SOO level prop and secondly, if we had the cash, a brilliant fullback. Our two main props are good toilers but have reached their plateau and again IMO are never going to miraculously turn into SOO standard props although I wish Big Red good luck and hope that he gets a place on the bench this year. Our coach defies logic for all of the reasons we have been complaining about for years. I thought that he had finally woken up but alas he is still doing what he has done in previous years which is play people out of their best positions and select players for the bench which he has no intention of using so in essence we play a man down every game.

If you asked me two years ago if I wanted Sheens sacked, I'd have said yes.

But not now.

Funny- two years ago when many of you were defending him, and telling me how wonderful Fitzy was, I thought the Tigers looked listless & defeated, and rarely committed.

This year, they defend like their premiership hopes rely on it- it shows committment, dedication, desire.

Every team has low spots through the year. Every team has games where they probably should have won, but lost. The Tigers are having trouble transitioning to their expected level of play ever since Tom Moltzen got hurt. Strange- before his injury, we were all excited about the season. Moltz gets hurt & we want Sheens sacked.

Once Lui is back in, I expect to see the Tigers move back to the form we saw earlier this season. Fitzy, for all the bad wraps I've given him in the past, is nowhere near as bad as he has been- even defending as if it matters now.

The forwards are playing pretty well, and with what seems a forced change per week, have held up pretty well against much better advertised forward packs. Galloway looked a little stiff against the Panthers coming back from injury- a couple of weeks playing should sort that out.

I'll say this- Lazarus looks out of his depth. He offers little in attack, and seems to just hang on in defence- not impressed after hearing only wonderful things about him previously. I'm thinking moving Flanagan to 5/8 while we wait for Lui's return might be the key.

2 bad results and most of you are calling for Sheen's head, after I've heard nothing but how injuries have curtailed Sheens' success for years. Funny.

I doubt it. St George use a similar rotation all the time and they have a massively high completion rate. The mistakes happened all game and not just from the forwards. Players were dropping the ball just after the half time break!

Yep - and who to do we look to to resolve this issue?

We can talk about dropped ball and errors and how the halves look out of depth all we like, the fact remains that there are factors how this happens and you have summed it up.

Pick the right players to play the right positions, select and use the bench to cover fatigue and we have a better chance.

 Well if those players where fatigued on Saturday Night….sack Folkes...

the game wasn't even played at a frantic NRL pace ...too much dropped ball and penalties conceeded by both teams.....must have looked faster on TV.... :unamused:

Pfft .....I thought Sheens was the only one to make excusses....

If our blokes are blaming fatigue after only 6 rounds in the NRL we are STUFFED....

The golden rule keep it simple and every week Sheens has players playing in different positions .How in hell are we ever going to get any cohesion. Really its simple, pick 17 players, making sure your n01,no6,no7 and no9 are the best players available for those positions. When you start mucking around with the team and start giving players different roles to play every second set its no wonder the wheels fall off, Sheens has to take a long look at his selections, this team even without Moltzen should be a top five team or better and once again we are a real danger of going belly up and he has to take a large proportion of the blame. We will know on Tuesday when he picks Fitzy again how serious he is to change his ways.

Iam more then happy to watch sheens self destruct for another season, ild love to see all the sheens lovers if we miss the 8 again, and considering melb are gone, well we might as well say 9th

For those who have finally woken up and said its now time for sheens to go.. your wrong too, its 3 years overdue!

Folkes, S is the answer. at least make him the defensive coach

Good Call - However its not our Defense that is the problem in the last few games.

Dropped ball and Penalties are whats hurting us…

Exactly. Dropped ball has been the only problem this season. Every game where we have completed atleast 75% of our sets we've won.

Why is it everytime someone brings up Sheens' ridiculous selections, the nblame is always
shifted to the players?

One fact has remained in the past eight years and it's not the players.

I assume cause this is about sacking Sheens now..

Yours was about you and being feed up with rubbish…and wanting Sheens gone before you would renew your membership...I think

just guessing....I didn't know your thread got moved....

Look into it for you.....Do you want me to merge it into this 1....

This is why i didnt renew my membership and will continue not to for the remainder of sheens tenure at this club, the guy is a joke and you look at the team make up in the last 2 weeks and you can see why he has only coached a team to the finals once in his last 12 years of coaching.
>
Not learning from past mistakes, playing players out of position, so fulton is the next bes 9 at this club now? to think weve let flanno and degois go over the past few seasons and now the next in line if fulton? are you kidding me?
>
like i said last night after the titans game, sheens mucks around too much with team selections, the bench is embaressing and i see the roosters puting another 40 past us this week.
>
sheens needs to seek theorpy for his decisions over the past 4 years the man has clearly lost it

See....this is an atomic bomb dropped on the forum......I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever bring up these reasons for punting Sheens before....

Although I do remember in 2006 when it was discovered that Prince was going north that 1 Balmain Bug fortold John the Baptist style that Sheens should be punted......
