It is time to sack Tim 'The Fonz' Sheens

i would like to know some peoples opinions on the following matter

we found out that marshall had the loophole in his contract about if sheens wasnt at the club he didnt have to be either..
would you rather we keep sheens in order to keep our names or get a new coach and risk losing our marquee players?

the latter….players shouldnt be so blinkered to only wanna play for one coach, they should be open minded and believe someone else may be able to take their game to a new level.

I'd sday most of our players would love a new coach, new ideas, new speeches, new game plans, new recruitment

true..but for those who have only been coached by him it might not be such a good thing as they would of lost their mentor…taking a stab when i say it would be gibbs, rhino, farah and marshall?

No loophole exists. So what are we waitng for ….

last i heard benji had one in his previous contract, not sure about this one though

The club would allow him to sign such a contract with such loopholes, he's our key signing over the next 6 years, I doubt there would be such a timid approach to his contract.

Benji obviously knows its more than just Sheens who feeds him.

I can tell you for a fact there is no coaching loopholes in his contract whatsoever. Nothing.

The club **would allow him** to sign such a contract with such loopholes, he's our key signing over the next 6 years, I doubt there would be such a timid approach to his contract.

Sorry all, that was obviously a typo, I meant the club **wouldn't** allow him to sign such a lengthy contract which would be a drawcard for other signings to a club where Benji could bail out any time he likes…

Bug is correct, the 'get out clause if Sheens leaves' is no more in marshalls contract

ok so that leaves marshall out of it then..but if there WAS one in his previous contract whats to say there arent more in others contracts?

As much as I'm a Sheens supporter I honestly believe a coach or player is not bigger than the club. If a player doesn't want to be here because Sheens isn't then as far as I'm concerned it's "Thanks for the memories and good luck with your future endeavors."

I couldnt give a stuff…if players wanna follow sheens out the door like a puppy dog, let them

Exactly what Ink, if they want to follow him out, we might as well say good riddence to bad rubbish. I suspect the only other player would be Fitzhenry though.

Id say within the next 12 to 18 months after a successfull 2010 and/or 2011, Tim Sheens will be appointed Director of Coaching with a seat on the Board…

Could well be…or go to Souths

That sort of experience would work wonders with Rusty's dough....

If he wants a seat on the board he'd have to get on either Wests or Bamain's board first and wait for one of the old fossils to call it a day......

Its not hard to work out which Board he would get a seat on. The day he does, the money will follow and the rest will look after itself.

Humpty is no fool!!!
