I for one can't wait for Adam Blair - football teams are about the type of person and what they bring to the club in general not just 20 mins of fending off the bench - I would never pay 300k for a bench prop and he should thank his lucky stars he found his Alan Bond at the Sharks

Fifita should've waited a year, and taken a pay-cut for a year if he wanted to stay at the Tigers.
That offer wasn't gonna go away, if not Sharks, some other dumb club would've offered him same sort of money after a year.

Anyways, just the fact that losing two props to get a 2nd rower is whats ticking me off !

Everyone wants to stay at their first club, unless they are homesick or something.
Sharks prematurely offered 300K and if Tigs offered more for him, I would be angry.
The fact that he thinks Tigers let HIM go for Blair is stupid because he would never have gotten over 300K at this club. He chased money, good for him.

Firstly I am a massive AF fan.

Potential is there and AF is doing well here at the mo.

But Blair is a true international….

The Tigers are no longer a club that Should pay overs IMO.

AF @ 300K in 2012 is Overs.

While I know some of the members express doubts about the accuracy of NRL Stats, the comparison between Woods and Fifita for yesterday's game, shows:-

Aaron Woods 31 minutes 12 receives 12 runs (97m) 1 tackle break 13 tackles 1 error
Andrew Fifita 26 minutes 11 receives 7 runs (56m) 4 tackle breaks 13 tackles 2 errors

I have just gone through the tape of yesterday’s game again and Wood’s runs were straight and in the centre of the ruck. A lot of Fifita’s running was across field and wider of the ruck and of less effect for the team.
With all of the posturing by Fifita during the week, I would have expected a much more aggressive game from him. Looking at his last two games, I would find it hard to justify paying him $300,000 per year, so I would not stand in the way of the bucket of gold he has been offered.
Hopefully, the Club is in the position to retain the likes of BMM, Woods, Begovich and Groat into the future, as they may be better value at, initially, a somewhat lower price.

I am glaad you brought Woods' game up MightyMaggy. He was really impressive against a physical forward pack. Ran straigh at direct. He was hard to tackle and made space for the backs (when they weren't spreading it too early).

He really stood out and up yesterday.
