It would be cheaper to pay out Jason Taylors final two years than to get rid of Robbie.

Whoever it is should be good at man management.

I know some say spoilt gen-y players etc etc. But the reality is that the head coach needs to be able to get respect and get the team mentally tougher than it ever has been. They have umpteen assistants now, being a psychologist is half the job. I'm tired of our team needing to find their inspiration from scoring points and not being consistent defenders week in and week out.

So we need a good motivator and good defensive coach. I don't believe we have either at the moment!

No one who has any previous involvement with the club… This never works unless they have coached 150+ games.

If JT is finished up, the board must find the coin to 'purchases' the right manager to run this team.

Ivan Cleary or Michael Maguire seem to have the temperament which could work at the Tigers.

Most definitely.

There was a hell of a lot to like about the way our guys played the Warriors yesterday, quite apart from the win itself. I noticed Robbie's comment in the presser to the effect that he decided to play his own game; and presumably not the "take a back seat" rubbish Taylor's had him doing all year. The more I think about this, the more I'm convinced Taylor just has to go.

I would go the Walker brothers. Have watched a bit of their Jets coached side this year. Their style would work in the NRL and would work with our squad. Would be far better than JTs 5 hit ups and a bomb.

Robbie Farah captain-coach in 2016, head coach thereafter. Seriously.

He has the player's respect, he is an inspiration to them. He is a leader not a follower, he genuinely loves the Tigers… and he doesn't talk in meaningless business-speak.
With Robbie and Mitchell Moses running things, we'll have our best season in five years.

This is not a bad idea…but I don't think JT will be going anywhere in the near future.

The club has said we don't have enough money to pay out another coach, well from my calculations rather than pay out Robbies money for him to pay for someone else it would be cheaper to sack Jason Taylor and get a better coaching staff.

It will probably cost us $650,000 plus per season for the next two years for Robbie to pay for another side. I am sure we could pay out Jason Taylors contact and hire the Walker brothers or Nathan Brown for less than that. Win win in my book, we keep a club legend, we get rid of a very ordinary coach and replace him with someone better.

Yes it is not good to keep replacing coaches but in reality Tim Sheens was here for a very very long time in modern day NRL, Mick Potter was replaced by a new board and the man they hired is not up to the job. The board could make the tough decision that Jason Taylor is not good enough and we made the wrong choice, would be no harder or tougher than the decision to get rid of Robbie. In my view sacking Jason Taylor would be the right decision have a very strong feeling he is not a good man manager and not a very good coach.

Well as many have said previously, I will wait to see how we go next year without Robbie and the others.

I've said often enough that I don't believe the Robbie thing is about money and the salary cap.

I think we will be ordinary next year, now that we have let Richards, Galloway, Farah maybe not playing first grade and rumors that Lawrence is heading to England too and we haven't re-signed halatau yet, our squad next year will be a younger squad than this year, and this year we were the youngest squad in the NRL, I hope they improve next year but I'm not holding high hopes

If Robbie and his manager wanted to to really sink the tigers as a club, he would put in a formal complaint with the NRL and the RLPA will back him to the tilt regarding the manner in which JT accused and threatened an employee - robbie.
All will be revealed in good time, but its safe to say - Tigers could sack JT on those grounds alone.
the cost would be 0.00
The board however - may need to go also as they have also come out in public support of the coaches actions.

if this was any other work place in Australia, the club would be in a "bit of strife" as they say

Did you watch yesterdays game?

If you blame Taylor for our losses, then you have to give him credit for our wins. But, no, you seem quite happy to pour your bias over the whole club. Your perogative I guess but it is very tiresome.

Yes sack the coach that will be 3 coaches that Farah has helped to remove…

i did watch the game yesterday.
im guessing you and i didnt watch the same game at all.
The players played how they wanted not the restrictive style Taylor has been making them play all year.
The players looked happy - celebrated with joy and when it came time to listening to the coach at half time - did you see that not one player looked at him or seemed interested.
that was the same set of guys who moments earlier were celebrating on the field.

i have no bias over the whole club.
alot of what im saying is felt by a lot out there.
if you were at the game and hearing / experiencing the boos towards the coach - you would have seen this for yourself.

On a more serious note i think we need a old style coach, which brings me back to ME, only kidding. steven flokes is the man for the job would instill steel in the defence and would let the kids play football. sack taylor today and get him in.

Sack the coach ..obvious Farah already runs the club ,you could see how the players love him .. :master:

I'll vote yes to this option..

I would love to see Laurie Daley appointed as a first grade coach with the Tigers.
At a minimum he is someone the player, fans and sponsors can respect as a man and also for his track record in the game.

I believe there are grounds to enforce a resignation/sacking of Taylor for his actions over the Farah saga.

Maybe they loved the at he played yesterday more so than the man himself…

So we sack yet another coach…. Three in four years.

Who in gods name would take on such a poisoned position..... Only some rookie desperate for a start... Certainly no coach worth his salt and with options would come near the joint.

Do people think before they post?
