It would be cheaper to pay out Jason Taylors final two years than to get rid of Robbie.

So what happens if we sack Taylor and the same old dross repeats itself next year? We've sacked/moved on that many CEO's and coaches now that same results should lay squarely at the feet of the playing group.

I would love to see Laurie Daley appointed as a first grade coach with the Tigers.
At a minimum he is someone the player, fans and sponsors can respect as a man and also for his track record in the game.

I believe there are grounds to enforce a resignation/sacking of Taylor for his actions over the Farah saga.

Plus LOZ is a big Farah Supporter

Maybe JT can take Kyle Lovett with him when he leaves

Sack taylor , bring in whoever and tell the players …this is it , the onus is on you guys lol

A couple of problems.

Firstly, paying $200K for a first grade coach is what gets you into this mess in the first place. Peanuts and monkeys.

Secondly, if you sack JT, you have to pay him out in full and hire someone else in full. Nobody is going to take on a portion of JT's salary for us. Farah's backup however is already contracted, we would not have to necessarily hire a brand new person.

Thirdly, cheapest option is not always the best option.

Sacking JT isn't the answer.
He needs to work on his man management skills and utilise what he has here to their best abilities. He has shown he is not rigid on his original structures and is willing to evolve them. If he buries the hatchet with Robbie and gets him playing like he did yesterday next year he can turn things around.

Maths isn't my strongest suit I admit, but how in the hell is it cheaper to keep Farah and sack Taylor?
If Farah were to go elsewhere and we were obliged to pay say $650k of his salary, then that's what we do, saving around $350K from our current budget.
Now, were Farah to stay and we sack Taylor, then we are still pay Farah's 1 million a year, paying out Taylor's contract in full and then hiring a new coach. That's got to mean we would be worse off by whatever money the new coach signed for. So instead of being $350K a year better off, we'd be at least that amount worse off. That's a negative $700K in the respective positions.
Now tell me, please, how it's cheaper to sack Taylor. Please. I'm intrigued. And I reckon if you can make this plausible, then you could get a start at any club running the salary cap.
As I said, maths isn't by best subject, but ….

Did you watch yesterdays game?

If you blame Taylor for our losses, then you have to give him credit for our wins. But, no, you seem quite happy to pour your bias over the whole club. Your perogative I guess but it is very tiresome.

i did watch the game yesterday.
im guessing you and i didnt watch the same game at all.
The players played how they wanted not the restrictive style Taylor has been making them play all year.
The players looked happy - celebrated with joy and when it came time to listening to the coach at half time - did you see that not one player looked at him or seemed interested.
that was the same set of guys who moments earlier were celebrating on the field.

i have no bias over the whole club.
alot of what im saying is felt by a lot out there.
if you were at the game and hearing / experiencing the boos towards the coach - you would have seen this for yourself.

So, all the losses are due to the so called "Taylor ball"( What nut job thought that one up?)

All the wins on the other hand are due to the players. Wow.

Here is an idea, lets get rid of the coach and let the players play how they like.

Do you people read what you write before posting?

stryker, if the world was loving and caring ur idea would float, but really it will never happen unless u believe in santa claus and the tooth fairy, and i dont think either robbie or JT do.

JT is done he has made the biggest mistake of his career - not the decision itself …I agree Robbie is not worth 1 mill per season and we could definitely put that money to good use elsewhere... but the way it was handled is unforgivable imo he has lost any respect he had

Only someone with loads of coaching experience who would also command respect like Bellamy, Maguire, folkes, Toovey etc or either of the origin coaches

Keeping JT as opposed to Farah and I'm basing my opinion on yesterday's crowd reaction has a massive commercial cost as well. Less people liking the decision means less people spending money on the club such as memberships, tickets, merchandise and that has an effect on sponsorship.

It's a no brainer from a financial point whom should stay and whom should go. My 12 year old daughter who lives and breathes WT was crying at the end of yesterdays game

Farah sells more bums on seats and JT was just the wrong decision. We can always look at it as 3 coaches in 12 years and considering that is the same amount of finals we seen in that time that's justifiable.

One more year for Farah and off to England he goes and appoint a coach that demands respect

None of those would come to a club that is run by the captain. Some people are on another planet.

The captain doesn't run the club. You are right though we are on a different planet to you. Earth.

If Farah stays and Taylor goes is obvious who runs the club. And you think we'd attract a top quality coach? Delusional.
