Unless the club has a signed contract from Addo Carr or letter of intent id be pulling the contract out from under him come Friday.

This is just Latrel Mitchell all over again and the club who has made a fair and reasonable offer deserve better.

Go find the next Addo Carr and leave these mercenaries go to the next club.

Let's hope he has signed. The club and its supporters went through a lot of unwanted stress just trying to sign Latrell.

It would be likely the Storm are in recovery. I can't be critical of him wanting to have some time for his family. Covid also would slow down systems/processes.

What would slow it down even more is a player using us and dragging it out.

JAC is home for compassionate reasons. I. would believe he'd want this sorted asap. Also the Storm have to grant him a release.

The storm would want to sort it out now and to a player, or see him leave for nothing

Lol seriously the dogs are crazy ! Their team is horrendous , Flanagan Cotric and addo Carr will not change that . They have no halves , and no 9 , and now , if the figures are to be believed , 2.25 mil locked up of their cap in 3 wingers . ( cotric is a winger IMO) . That’s insanity . DWZ has already failed as a fullback , cotric wasn’t much chop there when he played , and addo Carr is 50 /50.
The deal we offered was Smart money , and fair money. Their pack cannot go forward , they’ve signed no one to improve that , and actually we have signed their most elite junior away from them. I don’t see the big deal sorry . I would have loved to have given him a go , but I wasn’t confident he would have stuck around in the 1 at all. IMO he will be wearing 5 by mid next year .
From all accounts we have some elite backs coming through , so I say if he takes our deal awesome , if he wants more money , awesome , I wish him all the best .
That team as it stands will not win football games. And I’m supremely confident our issue was the middle defensively , of which I think we will shore that up , with already better signings . I’m ok with Mbye wearing the 1 honestly . Doueihi is clearly our 6 moving forward . And as of right now in a spine position Liddell is infinitely better than Anybody they will trot out in their spine , including JAC .

You had me until you said Liddle is better than JAC. Link me your local bottle shop please champ. Who’s the junior we’ve prised away ? Talau? He’s being kept out of the squad for that fat heap Leilua and if it’s the same next season, he’ll be out the door too

The elite junior was brought up in the 2021 development players . A massive bodied boy with a mouthful For a name .
No I said in a spine position , not overall . You could be robbing Peter to pay Paul , by moving him to 1 . It’s unknown . He’s the best winger in the game . And Liddle is a great dummy half , who needs to stay on the field . Right now today , if JAC goes to 1 and liddle at 9 , I honestly think liddle would affect and influence more wins . Bellamy , the sharks , we did , various scouts and coaches , have all said JAC is a winger .
I’ve not heard anybody advocate for it publicly , it’s basically , he’s a gun , he should be alright .
The last 2 players I heard talk like this about . ... DWZ and valentine Holmes . Both got paid , both were playing wing before the year was out .

Honestly mate have no idea who you’re talking about. Anyone know this young blokes name ?

Api Saukuru Mate. I just had a look in the development thread.

Wont bother me one bit.

The bit that bothers me is the pandering to a club/Storm and a player when this whole thing could be done by now either way.

Is that a discreet way of writing that the QRU/ARU cannot afford him?

The Storm have to release him and wanted this completed after the end of season.

Friday is a bit early as he cannot legally (NRL rules) sign a contract with another side until Sunday 1 November for 2022 onwards. Though wanting a signature no later than Friday week is fair enough.

you stressed out with the LM saga? yikes! good footy player but I think his attitude stinks... not the right fit for the club and I am glad he didn't want to sign with us

I’ve gone from confident to defeated in a week. Would be absolutely stunned if he ends up with us at this stage

Good time for @THE_POM to make an appearance.... It would at least settle a few fans or have them start to move on from JAC

I tend to agree and compare it this way.
We were in negotiations with Tamou prior to finals football and he committed a 2 year deal to us and also made it known in his speech wishing the panthers moving forward all the best.

I would have thought we would have tabled a deal to JAC around the same time and all we have heard is on going negotiations about player swaps, Souths and Bulldogs interests then nil decision until after the GF then maybe origin.

With the November deadline looming its an easy decision if you have not taken up the offer by then we look elsewhere.
We allow the Player/Manager 1st option to play for the club if there not interested then play elsewhere.

JAC would be a good signing however considering negotiations are protracted like Mitchell it is sounding like he is also looking elsewhere, just pull the offer on the 1st, speculation finished and options decreased, it also shows we are a club that wants to build the right culture with Players that want to play for the club not just the best deal on the table.

JAC hasn't done anything wrong. He apparently agreed to terms with us and signed a declaration of intent to sign a contract with us once he was granted a release with the Storm. Our management have fumbled around in talks with the Storm. Should have had this sorted weeks ago.

Are you sure he's signed a letter of intent or is it hearsay?

Its hearsay
