I agree with Willow, fair bit of hysteria and people thinking JAC is going to make the difference for Tigers between 2020 and 2021.

I was watching Tottenham flog Man U yesterday and it's interesting a parellel, the commentators talking about Man U fans desperate to sign new players because their current side wasn't getting the job done. One of the fellows said, paraphrasing: "all the fan talk is about bringing in big-name talent from all over Europe, but the reality is Man U aren't in that signing position any more, they don't have the clout or the money to be constantly revising the roster. The reality is, Man U need to find out how to get better performances out of the roster they currently have."

Same deal in this thread. JAC would be nice sure, but we always have to remember we are not a consistently successful side, nor do we have any famous or big-money owners, and therefore we go into all negotiations at a disadvantage to other clubs.

The primary concern for Tigers right now is setting a stable platform for the coach(es) to continue to develop the ability of the roster we have, then value-add players that are available.

Interesting you bring up Spurs as Jose is really starting to change the culture (followed Tottenham 40 + years)...the amazon doco has been really revealing (telling them openly they are too soft / nice...and he wants ___s on the pitch.

In a lot of ways it made me think of us watching it. How hard it is to change a culture. I can't think of any other manager who could have gone in there and told that dressing room that...

Who is laughing at us? Why are they laughing at us? How would a deadline fix anything?

Tbh all my mates give me mates banter for supporting Tigers haha. Saying all our good players don't play good till they leave us haha. But no one is laughing or even cares or talks about JAC rumours except Tigers fans. Just us.

I think that the player managers are. I will dangle the morsel and let the tigers beg for it while I shop them around other clubs. If I can't get him into the club he wants to play for, at least I will get him overs at the retirement village.

For all you know JAC has been done for weeks and everyone involved has agreed to wait for the Storm's season to be over before announcing it. There's really no need for anyone to spit the dummy at this stage.

It takes enormous credibility to walk in and tell a team, openly, they are too soft. In the doco you see him telling people like Deli that he will regret his career as he is too inconsistent / bluntly telling people they are out. But he has turned the culture around and modelled it after himself already.

It is my one big worry with Madge...as I thought we also had 'that' moment when he said "changes coming"...

Only for two days later the whole "Walking on eggshells" meeting...no vets dropped...poor results continued.

Jose would never tolerate that 'walking on eggshells' meeting...he would never have allowed it.

This is getting spicy, just can't see who misses out.
It's all good to say James Roberts will go but he's not even playing currently.

So out of there backline who is putting their hand up to play reserves for JAC to fit in, also remembering that LM needs to fit back in next year.

Just can't see it working out. If they get JAC im happy to have Corey Allan or Marsters here on half the freight

Young Marsters is a tank .. bigger than his big brother Esan .. Steven Marsters is gonna be a backrower for sure ..

Their cousins.

Isn't it pretty clear to everyone that the decision doesn't rest with JAC, it rests with Storm? Putting a deadline on JAC solves nothing, as you have said.

And even if it was in JAC’s hands, a deadline is always a sure sign of making the player run the other way.

Well we have that in Common always been a spurs supporter and i reflect on them building and owning there own stadium and what a good move that will be long term.

Stability with there Roster has been key to there success and never been relegated since the premier league commenced in 1992. WT have also never won the spoon.

Mourinho interesting enough has stated the team lacks mongrel similar to what Madge is also trying to instill.

I don’t think JAC is doing anything like Latrell did at all. Either way players talk to multiple clubs during negotiations that’s business as you said a deadline solves nothing.

Yes well totally agree and what he said after press conferences did not equate, however our Roster is limited.
With no Benji next season which was a big call as supporters we need to see some consistency in our D.

I do hope they extend Madge's contract for 1 year.

Some just fully expect the player to want to come here ASAP, and anything less they are stringing the club along. Not realising the amount of complications these things come with.

OK, and that all being said, Spurs performed more poorly in 2019-2020 than the previous year under Poch, and Murinho's 2020 campaign is exactly 4 weeks old.

It might be said that Murinho and Madge have some similarities, taking on a challenging assignment after a strong history of results. Murinho is also "burdened" with players selected by the previous manager, who are not performing to their potential or value, e.g. Ndombele.

On the other hand, Murinho has the luxury of several pre-existing world-class footballers in his side, and whilst Spurs don't compete with the true heavyweights in terms of EPL spending, they aren't slouches.

Seriously talk about panic merchants
He is playing to win the comp.
Storm have rightfully so said no more negotiations during the finals.

Nothing will happen for a few weeks at best.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not sold that Mourinho will turn Tottenham around but the way he manages is certainly special, not another like him in the world.
