I believe that having Madge and Hartigan now working that area that we will see improvement in our ability to target the players we need.

Let’s just say we all hope you’re right.

Mate, I hope I am right. I find it hard to be critical about the players we miss as some of that is out of our control. What is not out of our control is the players we sign and that is what I will use to judge the people in those roles.

I don’t agree it is totally out of our control. I think it’s because we are seen as weak and inferior. Then again, maybe it’s all just corrupt and cannot be fixed. If that’s the case, come out and tell us that Pascoe.

I said some of it is out of our control, not all of it. There is nothing we can do if a player doesn't sign here because his priority is to play with his mates. How do you change that? Yes be a stronger club but there are just some things you can't change.

I will judge people on what is in their control, if we miss JAC, I can understand how that could happen, if we signed Moylan then there is noway that can be explained away.

He’s had a pretty uninspiring reign at WT. The COE will be great with our bog average squad. Recruitment has been woeful and Retention has been just as poor. Some on here adore him, I just don’t get it. Even if he didn’t actively stuff our Cap, he hired the people who did.

What are his KPI’s cos I’d be called in if I had his record

It depends what areas he is responsible for, In the areas off the field the club has been very successful. For the football department the club has made some strong hires in the last few years and is in the process of strengthening the pathways.

Honestly, we are a rugby league club, can we judge our leadership on the field please

100% agree. If their performance off field has been so impressive, does it ever translate on field?

Ill tell you what the opposite definitely does. We were (relatively) successful 2005-2011 but run poorly off the field......cue 10 years of misery.

I don’t like the word can’t, it’s like Pascoe saying we can’t get out of our stadium strategy. As fans of the club it’s like it’s always a waiting game and then we take another step backwards.

Have we explored everything? private investment and the like, I don’t have answers but the status quo is pretty horrific.

I'm of the belief that the next 2 years will hopefully be a big step forward for the club. I think we see movement in a number of areas, hopefully on field included.

Also the rise of the player managers in the last ten years has got clubs by the short and curlys.
The strong clubs maintain the quality rosters while the weaker clubs are the dumping grounds for those players surplus to requirements.
We have to follow Penriths lead and develop our own strength in finding and developing talent and then make sure we retain it - like we did before we decided that we needed Adam Blair.

The POM has literally said that JAC has agreed to join us... How are people believing all these other sources when the POM's always been right?

The POM, who is fantastic, did not say that...he said "agreed to join us IF he gets a release". Huge difference.

The club who gets that release will be the one JAC ends up at.
