Cochise your position seems to oscillate daily

Mate, I was very confident we had him until a couple of days ago, just not as confident now. You know me well, my position doesn't change very often.

Ok, I hope you know me well, genuine question, what has ***actually*** happened that has changed your mind?

It is good to know that we have so many tasseologists (tea leaves, coffee/wine sediments readers), and 'forensic speech analysts' on this forum!

We had Cap space in 2017 and we’re still reeling from it 4 years later. How can anybody have confidence in our Admin to get it right this time. The same guy who oversaw the last debacle is still in charge

I believe that having Madge and Hartigan now working that area that we will see improvement in our ability to target the players we need.

Let’s just say we all hope you’re right.

Mate, I hope I am right. I find it hard to be critical about the players we miss as some of that is out of our control. What is not out of our control is the players we sign and that is what I will use to judge the people in those roles.

I don’t agree it is totally out of our control. I think it’s because we are seen as weak and inferior. Then again, maybe it’s all just corrupt and cannot be fixed. If that’s the case, come out and tell us that Pascoe.

I said some of it is out of our control, not all of it. There is nothing we can do if a player doesn't sign here because his priority is to play with his mates. How do you change that? Yes be a stronger club but there are just some things you can't change.

I will judge people on what is in their control, if we miss JAC, I can understand how that could happen, if we signed Moylan then there is noway that can be explained away.

Totally agree. We ultimately don’t have control over who chooses to sign here, but we do have control over who we sign.

As disappointing and a blight on the apparent salary cap it would be, I don’t blame the club if JAC decides to join his mob at Souths. What I would blame them for is if the panicked response is to sign some broken down old hack like Moylan.

**To a certain extent I’ve already written off 2021, JAC or not.**

We have to get 2022 right. That will determine the direction of this club for the next decade.

**That’s the really sad thing about supporting the Tigers, we can’t look forward to the team actually competing *every* season,** we always have to wait for a better year further down the track, which incidentally never seems to come.

Call me naive but every year I live in hope that we pull off the impossible and achieve the ultimate goal. That's the stupidity of being a loyal fan. The realist in me however knows we're far from this and only makes me want it more.
Looking back, 2010 and 11 was our last premiership window and we really should have won at least one.

This is all true but when we win one think of the euphoria we will be in like in 05 I was born in 78 and was a loyal magpie supporter from as long as I can remember and I can't describe to supporters from other teams the feeling I had after such a long wait. I have mates that follow the roosters and they have told me when their team wins the comp they really don't feel anything about it

It is the way it is playing out.

I do feel sorry for my fellow suffering tigers fans. We are a breed that has been starved for too long. JAC will come. In 18 months we will cheering a winning side. Season 2022; 8-4 at the midway point and looking finals bound. JAC leading the try scoring tally. Aaaaaah the serenity!

Some people will say you're giving them false hope.

Good stuff. If its for real.

Fake News

Don't you have an Election to attend Mr Donald Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but.

If JAC is like his friend and good mate Dogshot Mitchell, then JAC has got no problems with Mitchell's playing us like chumps last year, and JAC would then have no trouble in playing us like chumps now.

But maybe JAC is the better man. Maybe he saw the way his friend acted, and knowing about Mitchell's advisors and family and responsibilities, he thought Mitchell did the best he could. And now JAC himself will show him how to stand up and treat people with respect.

Or maybe JAC knows his window of opportunity in this game is limited, and he knows now is the moment he is at his best and this is his best opportunity to set himself up for his whole life.

I hope we joins us and becomes an even better player.

Don’t worry guys JAC is coming, just give it time

I’m sure things will progress a lot faster once the GF is all said and done

I’m trying not to get too emotional invested, to soften the blow if he signs elsewhere.
His speed and exciting natural playing abilities are what we are looking for in a post Benji WTs team.

JAC, Gebbie, Kepaoa and Brooks are the players with pace and flair which attract crowds, It will be a huge leap forward for the club if his signing is confirmed.

If you haven’t made your debut by 25, you aren’t that good.

He only got noticed when the PNG Hunters came in to the Intrust Cup - In 2 seasons he was outsatnding. He never really got a chance at Souths with the backline they have. I could never really understand why they contracted him. Check out some of these highlights from Intrust Cup in 2018 and 2019.

He looks great.
Big, strong, fast, great dummy and has good footy smarts. Very exciting.

Ps. How good was that PNG crowd at the end?!

Pair him with Talau and watch them go.

So many times over the years Weststigers have made silly signings based on positional play, " If your a rock don't pretend to be a precious metal"
JAC is a natural winger! If WT sign him based purely on him wanting to be a fullback and it goes pear shaped it will effect the whole team no more than Adam Doueihi. I reckon JAC is worth $600 as a winger and nothing more, spend the rest on a top hooker, you know the rest. Further to add to development... Tommy is a good kid, but man, he needs to do some serious sprint training, have a look a the best backs over the years, run bloody hard like Billy Slater, Gary Jack and stop dropping your head and kicking stones when you stuff up, Harden up lad and 'RUN

Geez I have to admit I didn't really know who he was but looking at those highlights, he definitely has flair and ability.

It never ceases to amaze me how Indigenous players want to go to Souffs to "play with their mates."
I find this especially amazing when you look at the appalling way Souffs treat them when it comes to contracts.
Just looking at the way over the years that they have tried to off load or shop around players like Dane Gagai, Alex Johnstone and now Jimmy the Jet. In the past there were players like Nathan Merritt that were very loyal servants who were also treated with very little respect when they were no longer wanted. Really, why would you want to play for the scum and just looking around at some of their toothless supporters it's painfully obvious that at least the chooks have got a decent dentist.

I think it’s more correct to say we offered JAC a formal contract. I doubt he’s signed anything yet.
