Has anyone read Rothfield's latest piece concerning JAC's decision to remain with Melbourne? Apparently it is now all about our coach's failings! Who would want to play under Maguire?? What a total crock of .... ! I for one am totally and heartily sick of the media denigration of WT Club. The undermining is relentless. Another Foxtel cancellation will occur today ( after more than 20 years subscription ). Others should consider the same action. Profit is the only thing they understand is hit them where it hurts . How many of their employed journalists understand the pain of unemployment.

JAC just proving he's a complete liar.

It seems like it was always just a money play. He just played the family card to get a pay rise.

It would be nice to get some positive reporting by the papers. Would be even nicer to read some supportive comments from within the club. Not sure if Maguire et al reads all the rubbish that's reported but it must be disappointing for all.

I'm so bored hearing what buzz and hoops think. Why do people keep readng their stuff?

According to dictionary.com, Buzz is a soon to be fired contemptible or contankerous person who tells or spreads rumours secretively, is closely related to a turkey, and is obsolete, senseless, and stupid.

buzz
[ buhz ]

noun
a low, vibrating, humming sound, as of bees, machinery, or people talking.
Informal. a rumor or report:There's a buzz going around that he'll soon be fired.

verb (used without object)
to make a low, vibrating, humming sound.
to speak or murmur with such a sound.

verb (used with object)
to make a buzzing sound with:The fly buzzed its wings.
to tell or spread (a rumor, gossip, etc.) secretively.

buzzard
[buhz-erd ]

noun
any of several broad-winged, soaring hawks of the genus Buteo and allied genera, especially B. Buteo, of Europe.
any of several New World vultures of the family Cathartidae, especially the turkey vulture.

Slang. a contemptible or cantankerous person (often preceded by old): That old buzzard has lived in the same shack for twenty years.

adjective
Obsolete. senseless; stupid.

I’ll throw my 2 cents
Firstly I really don’t understand how many fell for the old family issue in the first place . Was always about money , family issues etc are code for players to force clubs to renegotiate or let them go .
- there was rumblings previous year that JAC was upset how much others were on in SOO
- if Melbourne were ever going to pay him anywhere near what everyone else was , he would stay at the club
- the bullshit about McGuire as a reason for him not joining WT to me doesn’t hold , Bellamy is a hard task master , so him going in that environment would not be an issue as opposed to latrell. The only way McGuire would be an issue is if he is a complete bastard, the other issues mentioned in media the dummy spits , extra training would not be an issue
- also to me if he is to leave Melbourne , Souths are his destination to be with his mates and club that has supposedly a good indigenous culture , hence why Souths trying to offload AJ earlier in the year and instead have offloaded roberts

At end of the day except for us fans , the game is a business , players in it for money , player agents the same , clubs don’t care about players they only do lip service to players when they needed. I look at how Souths got rid of roberts , when WT got rid of Robbie , eels with mannah, and whole host of other examples

Chammas does alright with his reporting on us, doesn’t put the boot in like most of the other media trollops.

Looks to me that Buzz was right about one thing and that is an increased contract from the Storm for the final year of Josh Addo-Carr's with them..this has been widely reported..

That extra 150K will certainly help ant family issues..well played Josh well played

"My family issues were a debt of $149K, thanks Storm".

It's certainly one way to increase your contract before you leave.

Maguire lost the playing group at Souths and got sacked then said when he got signed here he’d learnt from his mistakes and yet lost the playing group this year.

That's hearsay, you can repeat it all you want, but there's no definitive statement from anyone at Souths about that being the case.

Madge has a lifetime pass from Souths fans because he got them the premiership that nobody else could.

I will take 10 lost playing groups if it delivers a premiership in a 6-year contract run.

I agree with you, but that is some turn over of players if he loses 10 playing groups in 6 years lol. ;p

Got it from a Souths player so not hearsay. Players won't say it officially because it will affect them commercially

There is a poster on here that is related to a current Souths player, who also played under Madge, and he said that Madge was well liked by the players. Who to believe ?

All I can say is I got it from " the horses mouth"

And Kyle Flannagan has probably got an axe to grind with Trent Robinson. The whole of Newcastle has got nothing good to say about Wayne Bennett. If you look for someone to bag some one with a profile they are not that hard to find.

That wasn't me who gave you the thumbs down. Not sure why you got that for simply reporting what was said to you.

No, actually, that is LITERALLY hearsay. You are submitting testimony of a party external to the conversation / examination in this forum.
