I hope Im wrong but Williams to Wigan, Brooks to Canberra and Hastings to Tigers has a certain logic to it.
Why would Brooks need to go to Canberra Wests Tigers have roster spots and cap space to accommodate Hastings..
I dont know anything, but I can imagine a scenario where Canberra want to get rid of Williams, Tigers want Hastings, Williams wants to go home to Wigan...
Canberra will let him go if they can get a replacement they are happy with (Brooks), Wigan will let Hastings go if they can get a replacement they are happy with (Williams) and Tigers will let Brooks go.
In that scenario, all three parties would have to know and the first domino to drop would be Williams immediate release. If Tigers didnt let Brooks go, Canberra dont let Williams go and the whole thing doesnt work.
Not saying this is what is happening, just I can see the logic in it (I dont see Hastings as a suitable replacement for Brooks...yet).
Well given the state at the moment I don’t think moving on a player who can actually Defend tat an NRL standard is a good idea..but that’s me
