What we do know, however, is that he has “form” in being a disruptive and destabilising influence on teams,

He had a stoush with a knob at Manly, that's about it.

Someone with a mouth who wants to win is the medicine we need.

If that is disruptive to a team otherwise known as the Pea Hearted Bludgers Social Club, fantastic. It needs disrupting.

100%.

Not sure why people are death riding the guy before he even runs out for the team.

He may be a complete failure, in which case, he will fit right in with Brooks and Lids.

He may also be a shot in the arm the team needs. The club needs to try something.

Whose death riding him and what are they saying?

Hastings has been a problem at all of his NRL clubs even though at Manly it was justified to a large extent. It was only after he went to ESL he turned his attitude around, lets hope he keeps it here

And it’s funny that’s his actions are somehow justified at Manly because we don’t like the player had an altercation with ?

Living on the northern sydney beaches peninsula i have heard many rumours from some manly friends about both DCE and Hastings and it is fair to say that if DCE was not the most important player in their club both of them would have been shown the door at the time.
As a man DCE has massive failings and is not as popular here as the media makes him out to be,he is certainly a good player but reportedly an obnoxious human

That's all you remember....
Also moved on from the Roosters, Not missed at the Dragons.
And having known blokes that played with him....
He's been rubbing team mates up the right way since Jnr Kangaroos.

He's been moved on and overlooked for a reason... He has potential upside
- But anyone here would be stupid to bang on about all his "potential" upsides, Without considering all of his previous "proven" downsides....

We all want him to do exactly what we need him to do, I'm hoping for a Cooper Cronk 7,
in all reality we may have got a Paul Kent 7.

It's not death riding, It's simply considering both outcomes...

Jacko doing a Q and A on his personal IG...

I asked a few questions.
So far , he's only answered one.

What most of the posters on here digging up Hastings past, forget that the guy really knew and admitted immaturity...I admire him for being man enough to face up to his shortcomings and can only see he will be good for us,if only to make the squad play better and lead by example....
an old saying comes to mind....

"HE WHO HAS NOT SINNED CAST THE FIRST STONE.."

Great story line there up for grabs for him.

Former NRL bad boy returns a new man and gets wests tigers into the finals after 10 year hiatus. Potential massive year for him.

Incorrect. He wasn't 'moved on' from the Roosters. He was with them for the duration of his contract, and then Manly signed him at the end of it. And he never played NRL for the Dragons, he was just a kid in their junior system.

That’ll make Brooks and his three player of the year awards look silly…

Jackson has that look of a good player, confident, cocky and physically ticks all the boxes.
I hope he can take over as the organiser of the team.
I'm a fan of Brooks, but he doesn't seem to be able to steer the team around the paddock.

Seems most of the blokes running him down and not prepared to give him a chance are Brooks fanboys.
One less than stellar game and they'll want his head ...yet are happy for good old Brooksy to serve up more than a dozen lousy games every year.

From what I've seen of Hastings has played more as a second receiver hadn't really been given chance in England at 7. See how they go I guess.
