Time will tell with Hastings...definitely had some attitude issues in his past, however having watched/listened to all his interviews I think he has learnt from his mistakes and I think he'll offer lots to us this year.
I think he'll give us a bit of toughness too...last year we were too nice and had no resilience. Jackson Hastings is a winner and I don't think he'll lie down and let teammates not put in when things get a little bit tough.
I'm optimistic, but not completely sold just yet.
If we start with a Hastings-Brooks combination and it works well, I can't see Doueihi playing 6, which is insane. He'll play centre (or he could play as a ball-playing lock, which makes me wonder why we signed Peachey).
I think it's clear that the club want competition for places, and in 1-2 years Hastings, Brooks, Doueihi, Peachey won't all be there. They can say they want to keep Brooks all they want, but if he doesn't perform, he'll be out the door. If he does, there'll be a better problem on our hands.
