I’d have Mbye at 13 next week

IMO that should have been his position since round 2.

If you think of the best teams of the last few years, all of them, and I mean every single one of them, play the game attacking through their second rowers and locks. Props bang into the line condensing big bodies for a quick PTB, then they unleash their damaging runners to open it up.

Wests Tigers are still playing from the 1992 playbook using our props to kick the doors in. Its frustrating.

Yes and it is working a treat, we have had so much success in the last 10 years, we need a good lock and a good secondrower, maybe Blore is one, I hope so

Plenty of teams have a 3rd prop as their lock. Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle and us are all in that category.

It's more about the impact of those middle forwards as a whole. I think ideally you also have some point of difference in that lock forward role. Cameron Murray with his quick play the ball is a good example. I don't think it's essential.

I reckon Tuki Simpkins may fill that role in the future. Blore might be able to do it as well.

Our pack is looking heaps better but Garner hasn't done much on that right edge at all. Our starting middle forwards aren't dominating either.

We need some more spark.

Maybe Mbye can provide that. He looked decent at lock and hopefully this weekend he can do the job at centre. Talau bombed two chances against Parra. If he executed well we probably win that game.

i saw one of the few players last week who were having a dig.

On a day when most of the squad didnt even turn up you dont drop and blame a guy who actually tried.

I tend to agree, I think liddle has had a couple of average games but he’s been made the scapegoat for the disaster that was Sunday. I also think they have been looking for a reason to blood Jake but probably would have been better to bring him off the bench.

And that is where we are at, unfortunate, yes, but not undeserved, his service has been pretty ordinary for a few weeks, if not all year, so Jake who has been killing it, deserves a crack

Starting player is playing average, reserve grade is killing it so reserve grader is rewarded and starting player is dropped. Isn't this what everyone wants?

I doubt Madge dropped Liddle and said 'you're the one who cost us the game'. He's not being made a scapegoat at all

Mate his service was slow and he wasn't getting the ball out in front of his runners. I like Liddle but I would have made this change too. I probably would have kept him on the bench but Simpkin had to come into the starting lineup.
