Jacob Liddle #198

I just watched my hockey team fall out of the finals in Canada and was really pi$$ed off.

This Jacob Liddle news has turned me around. This is an excellent signing for future stability and surety. Always been a fan.

sensational. if there's anything Lids needs in his immediate future, its stability. look forward to him and Simpkin forming a Smith/Grant-type rotation. we can tick hooker off as a position covered for the next few years!

also great news about Tuilagi, but I thought it was already certain that he was going to move into the 30 in 2022? either way, good to have it confirmed. get the feeling he'll definitely be in the 21 come 4pm this arvo.

You're on the ball there. Something I've noticed in our recent games is Liddle occasionally stands at first or second receiver when we are attacking the opposition line. I think we'll see both of them in the team at some stage. Maybe not this year, but next year for sure.

when we shift from one side to the other, he typically plays the linking role in the centre third with Brooks and M'Bye running shape out the back. Harry was doing it last year before he went back to Melbourne. if we run two hookers on the field at the same time like we did in the back end of 2020 I'm sure we'll see it plenty more. we lost the battle in the middle third when Liddle went off last week, we need two specialist hookers in the 17 at all times.

n addition to Liddle’s two-year deal, Wests Tigers are also pleased to confirm that Development Player Kelma Tuilagi will move into the NRL squad for the start of the 2022 campaign on a one-year deal.

Note down the bottom too...

Very good.

Great news on both re-signings.

Sucks to be Simpkin at the moment. He really should've waited to see what happened with Liddle who he must've known is a superior player.

Now he's stuck playing for the Magpies.

Not really...he is still a key piece for our future...

Clearly the club think he's got a role to play in the future as they extended him pretty quickly, he's clearly talented

He and Liddle will have a good combo working together in the coming years

Well done to Jacob Liddle. After a questionable start to the season he has really been good. Coming back from so many injuries it’s understandable. A lot of argument about Liddle V Simpkin but we need two starting caliber hookers at the club. Tuilagi being promoted is a great move.

It's good to see that Hartigan, Madge etc. read the forum and listen to the wisdom of Dwight Schrute.

My suggestion to re-sign Liddle urgently before the price went up was acted on swiftly.
Keep reading Madge and I'll identify your next move for you.

You're welcome.

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

So say we all

Yes great news and him and Simpkin working together will be excellent.
If we left it any longer he would of been picked up by another club without a doubt.
