Clearly we would be better with Harry, he's a far superior player. Hopefully Simpkin can do well as he has a similar play style

Starting player is playing average, reserve grade is killing it so reserve grader is rewarded and starting player is dropped. Isn't this what everyone wants?

I doubt Madge dropped Liddle and said 'you're the one who cost us the game'. He's not being made a scapegoat at all

It could be that Simkin has been killing in reserves and deserves and opportunity to show what he can do in 1st grade
They all have to get a start some time

I’m hoping Madge drums it into Simpkins not to hog the ball as much as he does in reggies though.

Part of the problem is the opposition target him in defence, and our mob never come to the rescue of the little bloke - we've seen it in several tries scored where Laurie was isolated on the tryline. Our big boys don't use their shoulder and don't have the right defensive attitude to back up their team mates.
