Good as he has been, a 3 yr deal at his age seems desperate in the extreme.

The Poms will take any player, at any age…..in the desperate hope that it will add some quality to Super League. Biggest problem is all of these has-been Aussies don't help the Pommy national team to be even remotely competitive against Oz and NZ. Time for them to blood some youngsters of their own

In all seriousness our club is a long way behind others even in the ESL with regards to bringing youth through as we had previous owners that were reticent in the extreme to invest at all in the academy. Our new owner is pretty much the opposite in terms of how he deems the importance of a blossoming youth set up though and is investing heavily but expects at least two to three years before we see the impacts…....in essence i have have just allayed my own concerns with the Prince signing :sunglasses:

Gold Coast News just reported that the Titans are looking at Jacob Miller as a replacement for Scott Prince, even showing some footage of him playing this year for the U20s, it states they have confirmed they are chasing him seriously, it looks like Prince is going to Hull, there is one more cog to slot in place in this rumour mill, John Cartwright returns from the states this week, it will be interesting what transpires, it will be a shame to develop Miller over the last two years to lose him so easily, hope it doesn't eventuate.

I think the speculation regarding Chloe Maxwell in here is unfair and uncalled for.. and i feel as though some compassion should be shown towards her and Mat..they are good people and have not had the easiest of rows to hoe.

What does Scott Princes wife have to do with Chloe Maxwell and Matt Rogers?

On another note on the Gold Coast News tonight the reporter said they were after Miller as Princes replacement. Would be disgusted with the club if they let him go to the Titans if he is actually under contract.

I know for certain that princey hasn't heard from carty or Searle and is very annoyed. Apparently originally he just wanted to talk with hull but is now an almost certainty to go as he doesn't feel wanted

I saw an article in zero tackle I think it was, stating they were here looking at prince, an failing that they'd look at taking miller over. Don't think he's going anywhere any time soon

I reckon our recruitment manger has done an amazing job.

We have a constant flow of good young talent, and had a squad good enough to be considered the bookmakers favourite this year,

We under performed from there but i dont anyone can blame the quality of the squad.

Lack of Props has been an eternal problem with us Goose, but maybe that's Coach's call not recruitment.

Miller is likely to stay now because Tim has gone but look out for Matt Elliot and the Warriors. Elliot is a huge fan of Miller and if the club dicks around trying to keep him, Elliot will chase after him in a major way.

Interesting, the warriors have Johnson and Leuleuli and I quite like Jordan Meads as well. plenty of halfback talent at the warriors, that said Elliot may rate Miller above the lot and pick him up.

Miller is safe for now, he had interest from Hull but only if Prince declined. Hope our recruitment can hold onto him.

I heard Potter interviewed tonight on 2UE and he said something that was music to my ears and confirms to my mind Potter will be a successful at the WT. Brandy asked Potter about the halves and fullback positions and how in 2012 WT tried a number of players at 7 without success…Potter replied by saying he watched the NYC GF and he thought Jacob Miller was a star and that "I want Jacob to stay at this club"...to me that's the biggest endorsement Jacob could receive from a Day 1 coach...I hope Potter gives Miller a good shake of the #7...
