Jacob Miller to Hull?

Cant agree that we ran 4th despite the those 2, both played a role.

Like most things in life, they are not all good, but they are not all bad either.

Im not going to pretend everything they did was perfect, but they are no where near as bad as people are saying on here. People like to deal in extremes.

And what Goose , do you think the players will respond to the changes so far

Not a hope in hell , someone needs to walk in here and lay it on the line and then when they don't get that message drop or dump someone

As Dr Phil says (And i love this saying personally) "The tail is wagging the dog at the moment" We are a perfect example of this saying

Humphreys is too busy preparing the " short " list of coaching candidates.

Right now, in the scheme of things that are important to the Tigers future, what exact would you rather he be doing?

I think you missed the joke.Humphreys "shortlist" is very "short",Like 1 long.

Was talking to my work mate yesterday (who is a Souths supporter) , and he was telling me he had a beer with Jacob Miller's uncle on Grand final day at Mullumbimby and that as far as he knew he's playing for the Tigers next year.
Just gonna have to wait and see…

that's the sort of confirmation I like to hear.

Well i can't confirm anything and the stupid rumours doing the rounds about him going to Hull etc is the reason for me saying just gonna have to wait and see.
All i can tell you is i live 20 kilometres from Mullumbimby and when my mate tells me he had a beer with him there's no reason to lie , cause everyone pretty much knows each other up here so take it how you want for all i care…

i think you misinterpreted my post. i'd prefer hear a rumour substantiated by someone who has spoken to a relative of a player as opposed to the gossip column of the paper. i wasn't having a crack at you.

Start doing that and we would have to give away our sources

I wouldn't be doing that , thats for sure

i didn't suggest that ppl give away their sources, just that substantiated rumours are better than un-substantiated ones.

WT official twitter has said that he is contracted with us for 2013 so i would imagine that he would be here next year

He is contracted next year,Sheens was letting him go a year early as he didn't rate/like him, hopefully now he gets a proper chance like Sirro got,so he can show his true value.

Let's hope he is here in 2013.

Let's also hope he plays great and gets an opportunity for the NRL side and then gets rewarded with a contract for the next few years. A good new coach could make all the difference but also players need to be managed properly by the club. There needs to be good communications that give him a clear idea of what is going to happen for him if he goes well be that NRL or State Cup.

Todd Payten showed what can be done by managing good young talent.

This was in reference to a post regarding Humphreys having contracts in alpha order in his desk drawer. It meant nothing about him leaving.

But, the fact it is taking him so long to prepare this short list is the real worry, most here could do that. Humphreys is going to have the final say in the coaching position, if he stuffs up, he has to go also.

Goose and Glenn we made the Top 4 despite Humphrey's and Sheens not because of Humphreys and Sheens

Remember who resigned Sheens to an upgraded contract last season when you could see the tip of the iceberg coming . Humphreys

The bloke changes between Arthur and Martha to suit the mood of the sponsors ,supporters and members

I'm not saying we should choose a coach without a CEO , I'm saying we should have hired a new CEO ,then sacked the coach and then chosen a new coach That is making a statement to everyone involved in the club Perform or else Thats what these players need to see The only reason Humphrey's has backed getting rid of Sheens was to save his own bacon

Nothing more or nothing less

Agree… whats wrong with these blokes.

Gold Coast Titans captain Scott Prince could be England-bound, with Super League side Hull FC confirming they are in negotiations with the star halfback for next season.

There have been persistent rumours in the English media that Prince is headed to Hull.

The club's director of rugby Shaun McRae yesterday said negotiations with Prince were delicately poised.

The Titans declined to comment on Wednesday night and said they would clarify their position on the issue later.
**McRae said Hull were confident of snaring either Prince or Wests Tigers youngster Jacob Miller.**
**"McRae refused to distance himself from rumours linking the club with former Australian international Scott Prince and Wests Tigers playmaker Jacob Miller for next season," the Hull club said on its website.**

Prince is signed to the Titans until the end of 2014.

Hull coach Peter Gentle is travelling to Australia next week on a recruiting mission.

McRae said he was eager to sign another halfback as part of ambitious plans to build a team capable of challenging Super League's best next year.

"They (talks over a halfback) are delicately poised at the moment and that's the reason why we aren't in a position to announce too much just yet but I'm very confident that we will make another signing in that position," McRae said.

"The difficulty in getting an overseas player at the moment is probably at an all-time high simply because the money has increased dramatically in the NRL and clubs are reluctant to release their players

"However, this club demands high standards and quality players and we'd like to be able to reward our fans for their loyalty and their support over the years and into the future as well."

The Titans have recently signed talented but troubled five-eighth Albert Kelly.

Prince, who turns 33 two weeks before the start of the NRL season, has played 124 games for the Titans in a 254-match first grade career.

Interesting, I wonder if Miller was close to signing with Hull because of Sheens reluctance to give him a go? Miller himself has confirmed he is a Tiger for 2013 so hopefully the prospect of a new coach has given Jacob hope of cracking first grade.

With Sheens gone Milky knows he will have a better chance of playing first grade and is now looking to stay for 2013\. Gold Coast will be chasing him for 2014.

If Miller is given a true shot in 2013 and stars for us…the WT will throw the house at him to keep him long term!
