I told you that this information was from direct sources, so why would you then ask "do you believe everything that is reported in the media"? Theres no correlation.
Youve completely ignored what I've said and then tried to paint me in a negative light as someone who swallows everything im shown by the media. You did a similar thing at the beginning of the richo thread, purposefully misrepresenting what was said to paint richo in a negative light.
I really try to engage with you mate, but you make it incredibly difficult.
If bula was ready to sign in december, then the drama took place, and now he hasnt signed, how can you sit here with a straight face and claim that internal politics are not the the core reason?
The issue now may be he is asking for more money, so they have leveraged the drama, cant blame him, id do the same.

The contact offered for 2 years is sonewhere near a million dollars, the one for 4 years a lot less.
That’s the sticking point, Jahream via his manager wants the same money offered for 2 years, but on a longer deal.
Wests Tigers have stated they are only prepared to offer the bigger money on a longer deal if Jahream comes out and validates his value early this season.
Wests Tigers are going the right thing in this scenario.
If you cannot answer the questions posed to you than don’t bother replying.

Wests Tigers are backing themselves to re-sign Jahream Bula before the season kicks off.
The main stumbling block has been the length of Bula’s deal. The Tigers have already presented two options – two-year and four-year extensions – which would keep him at Concord until the end of 2029 or 2031.
The same sources confirmed the respective deals averaged out at a little less than $1 million a season.
Where has the club stated they are waiting to see Bula’s form? 🤣

The media are the only ones who stated Bula was close to re-signing with us in December.
I’ll say it again if we offer him close to 1 million for 4 years he would sign the contract today.
We are ONLY offering him close to 1 million for 2 years and have advised we need to see his form warrant it in early 2026 before being prepared to stretch out offering him close to 1 million from 2 to 4 years.
This is very sensible on part of Wests Tigers.

You stated that internal politics has nothing to do with bulas contract situation. That is what we are discussing. I havent debated the value or terms of the contracts offered. I know hes asking for more money NOW. Im not debating that.
But he wasnt asking for this in december.. so what's changed mate?
This isnt an argument as to whether what happened in December was right or wrong, so please separate the two.. its whether what happened has impacted the contract negotiation - and it has, because he wasnt asking for more money before it took place.

I haven’t been overly invested in if Bula re signs or not. my gut feel is he signs before the R2 game at LO. Did his manager say they are waiting until R5 or was that just speculation?
I.dont recall the first 5 or 6 weeks in a.season being the determing factor for any players.renegotiations.

Do you realistically believe Jahream is currently worth between 900l and 1 million dollars per season based on what he has shown so far in his career ?
However everyone can see the potential in him based on his blistering speed, therefore you would think and hope his form early this season starts to show at least glimpses of a genuine 900k to 1 million dollar per season player.

I don’t think he is currently worth 900- 1mill. However we have made our offer and you can’t go lower once you have made an offer. I wouldn’t go higher if Moses wants us to get into a bidding war. I’m a Bula fan and have seen the difference to our backline play from when he is in the team compared to when he has been out.
It’s not about what we think he’s worth. It’s what people like Mal Meninga who doesn’t have a FB, or Ciraldo, who has a makeshift FB, or Flanagan, whose FB is getting close to the end. It’s about what they think he’s worth.
The market values a 24yo FB who has been consistently one of his teams best players for 3 years.

If he knocks back an offer of 900-1mil from the Wests Tigers to go elsewhere in 2027 good luck to him. Going higher than that would unbalance any team.
How many teams fullback is on less than 800K these days? It’s got to be in the top few positions, importance-wise.
Around a million seems about right if you think he’ll keep improving. But the Bears will be getting desperate.

Payne said that in an interview last week on Ch 7
walsh signed an extension a couple of years ago and is now on 1.2m this year
