OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

I'm not too sure most people understand how agents work, what they actually do and how they make a dollar. I know a Broncos player who earns more than twice his contract per season, almost three times. His earnings include everything from TPD's, appearances, golf days etc. He works year round. The Big Marn has the same manager and told me he thought he was going to go broke post Footy Show until he signed with Chimes. He hasn't looked back and is making more than ever. They don't just sign contracts and see them in 3 years time.

Well … Isaac didn’t even sign this one …like I said … the commission thing…that’s a problem for Isaac and the old manager to work out I would have thought… if Bula signs a new third party deal …I’m sure that’s all Isaac and he will get his cut … if it was the other bloke who organised it .. he will, get it …right ?

If Bula takes the tax free dollars we can survive, but if the May boys, Luai and a Fainu or two follow we are in big trouble. Very hard to compete in a marketplace where 18 franchises have a lot less buying power than franchise no19.

The NRL has never been a level playing field but the lure of tax free dollars is going to really hurt some clubs like ours.

They just don't have a good enough roster to trouble most teams in the comp atm.
They are in for such a world of hurt, but it's not that they "don't have a good enough roster".

It's that they overpaid for some people:
Cook
Luciano Leilua (900k per season).
Val Holmes

Gutho had kinda earned his money, but seems to have slipped now.

They have paid a lot of money for some average/good signings, complete overs.
Now those chickens are coming home to roost.

Yes it sounds very familiar, don't it?

Deadline for Bula's option is May 15....

Whenever Bula is discussed on NRL360, Braith puts it to Read whats the latest and Read puts on a smug smile and responds in a negative manner. When pressed, Read says (with that smug face) he can't understand why the Dogs signed Tracey for 2 more years. We all know Read and Issac Moses are "mates"....so it will be interesting to see what happens...I hope its obvious to Bula as it is to us fans that the Dogs are a trash who treat their players like pocker chips. Cirro is a myth too...

Has anyone reinforced to Bula, being a man of faith, that greed is one of the seven deadly sins?!

Why have a salary cap if one club can skirt around it?

NRL teams Round 9: Jahream Bula joins wounded Tigers, out for 3-4 weeks | Daily Telegraph https://share.google/91dWeLNd8PnhONTp2

Nooooooooooooo!!!!
I don’t mind this and think even though it’s a pain for the next few weeks in the long run it will be to our advantage
What this means to me is that he is going to try and play throughout the year managing the shoulder, this means that he is going to need to have major shoulder surgery come September/October
All of a sudden our selling point is it’s it’s best for him to be a the tigers during the off season after surgery as he knows our systems and processes and probably can get away with not having a pre season
From a potential suitor perspective , they may not want to pay him when he we be unavailable for most of, if not all of the pre season with a new side

I think this really limits the options his scumbag manager has and will now have to consider the extension we have been trying to get over the line
