Stoked with this re-signing. Lets hope the ratchets are reasonable. Sky is the limit for Bula and we are a much better side with him on the field.

My understanding is that these are percentage based right … so these could be considerable if the salary cap is going up 20 percent +….

Anyhow…as you said …it’s the only way he was ever doing a long term deal right now

Yeah I can't claim to know the ins and out but i'm guessing the clause could be something like "matching the % increase in the cap" which would be significant if Bula is on around a million. Or maybe it is something more like "a % increase of the increase in cap", he gets a pay bump but not one that entirely matches the cap increase, which would be more reasonable.

It’s another one we will never know for sure …as I doubt either side is telling us … I ve said before thoogh… the time for Moses to do some skiting about the dollars he got was in his media puppet exclusive on Sunday ..and the dollars from that article appeared vague to me

It’s further complicated by the ratchet clause … if he is starting at over a million now on the cap ..than i would be unhappy…because that could be up 20-25 percent in 2028

i said before that i am cousins with Roger Fabri - he told me a few weeks ago that we would have to pay that to keep him because of HBG and the december issue. and then the drags paying drinkwater didnt help.

The issue is -- with luai going -- HBG and SM think all they have to do is spread the luai money over keeping our current players.

i reckon bc of richo leaving and all this stuff dragging out - its probably cost us $500k-$600k more over the may brothers and bula. but HBG will claim victory bc of the resignings.

I’d be a little cynical though that Isaac would think that he is worth x.x % in 2027, but we will agree a lower percentage in 28-30….but yeah …I’m not gunna say it’s not possible ..

Hopefully there is a TPA to do some of the heavy lifting as well,,,

Get out clauses were big from the Pascoe and Lee era so no surprise they aren’t in anymore

I heard it was more that they “took a break” rather than it “being off”… the deadline for the option was always likely to force a decision one way or the other..Luai’s circumstances were likely a coincidence..but might have tempted them to throw in some extra… I mean …what’s a “good chunk “ of $1.2m?

I’m not referring to Read ..i heard it else elsewhere …Does Read ever say anything positive about the club?

I would love to know what the deal is …should be some full transparency about the dollars for all deals ..said it plenty of times … Some ( not you) use this uncertainty to further hammer the club … they are damned if he leaves and takes a deal elsewhere and damned if he stays here on supposed “overs”….cant win
