OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

[Oscar Martinez]

I never understood the celebration when he re-signed.

A fullback has to have a combination of strength, speed and evasion.
Some can get away with an overload of even just two of those three.

Bula has none of those in his game.

[bigsiro]

He’s got no one to impress anymore. Got his contract.

He wasn’t proven anyway, just got very lucky timing-wise. For once the Tigers were flying, looked like we had a winning formula, everyone was focused on keeping team settled.
Couldn’t have asked for more perfect conditions for negotiations.

[BlackWhiteGold]

Bula hasn't contributed a line break or line break assist since Round 13.
When we've needed him most he's failed miserably.
Being solid or reliable isn't the job description of an NRL fullback. Line breaks are mandatory.

We're stuck with a fullback who will never deliver.

He has 100 almost line breaks, just needs to develop a change of pace from fast to explosive when at the line. He's fast in his fluid running style, just doesn't have that sharp acceleration.

He needs to develop a fend, or be coached how.

I’ve said it quite often ..needs more upper body strength

[Twal & Seyfarth]

Never seen a guy so not built for nrl, he is useless. What a miss step in resigning him, the club is dead now because of this signing, I'm done watching this shit.

[Fainu Brothers]

Not sure if it’s Bula or we just cant get him into the game…started the season on fire

[Bula]

Playing injured but still a non event. Zero acceleration makes him easy pickings. All strawberry and no cream tonight.

[upthetigers]

I think basketball is more Bula's jam he ain't a footballer

[You Know Who]

“What do mean guys? He was excellent, it wasn’t his fault that he dropped the ball that led directly to a Warriors try or that he hasn’t had a single try or try assist in 4 weeks and is nowhere to be seen in the backline when Warriors were scoring on our line. You guys don’t have a clue” - Rob Becchara and Coach Adel

[Halbrowne61]

Maybe AD to full back, Bula to 6 and Latu to 7. Let’s spice it up a bit now we’re are completely out of contention.

We going full Sheenius? Screw it, let’s do it

AD is ineffective at fullback it's his worst position

Why the hell not I say.

I’m just stirring it up a little, I want to get Bula closer to the ball.

[Alex Seyfarth's #1 Fan]

I like the work he does defensively, but he offers nothing in attack. Our shape dies every time he touches the ball. He does not know how to pass.

Nobody offers anything in attack other than AD, When he’s halfback.

The dream is turning into a nightmare

How can he play 6, his passing game is slow and premeditated.
He is a 250k winger at best who we have just paid somewhere between 900k and 1 million per season for.
But as I’ve been saying, if we because devs t speed and tackle bust ability on our edges and out wide, it plays to Jahream’s strengths to give him broken field running opportunities. So as average as he is, we can hopefully get some sort of value out of him if we get some decent players in key attacking positions, including ones to come into our NRL team when we have injuries.
