He has a choice to make given his size & stature…he can muscle up like Billy Slater(once an apprentice jockey) & possibly be something special,or become at best a Matt Bowen/Shannon Gallant style of player & have oppostion running at you all day.

Yeah… I think this sums up my thoughts in some manner.

Jake is with us this year playing State Cup in a pretty handy backline. With his additional size, I have a good feeling Jake will probably make the transition at some stage in 2011\. If he impresses, he will be a Tiger for a few years!!!

Another good young player that will be snatched up by another club. Played well in the 20's but needs to get the chance to prove himself with the older boys. I hope he goes well in the Tigers State Cup team.

How many of our "good young players" (who we want to keep) have been snapped up by other teams as you suggest????

Our retention rate is excellent for players that have a future with us - & Jake is highly regarded!!!

It is a shame that his hamstring in 2010 prevented him from furthering his claims - but like Coedi Towney - he now gets his chance against men & we'll make a decision from there!

I meant in the way he plays….not size....U dont need to be massive to play Rugby League...sometimes the size of your heart is just as important....

Agreed mate - & I was just pointing out that I don't think his frame is quite as frail as Hodgo's!!

He is well considered & I expect him to stay unless he has the world thrown at him!!

He just needs to look at other kids like Barba etc to realise patience will be a virtue!!!
