Good luck to Jake. Still think he has alot to offer at a young age .just didn't work with us

Think he was limited by average passing game and not gr8 vision..thought he wld learn from Api.Fring first grader same as Liddle
Means we roll the dice on tds,who doesn't look physically ready..and Latu who looks ready but 9 is not his strength
Richo must have a plan?

Simpkin was in no-man's land. Not good enough to challenge Api, not as talented as TDS & blocking TDS from stepping up.

But also, not bad enough to be discarded.

Does nothing overly wrong & in the right system, he is valuable.

Tigers really need a versatile hooker/type that fills a back row spot. Simpkin was never in contention to be shifted into a back row position.

We really need that Bayley Sironen type to occupy the bench.

Why release him? Are we signing someone? Getting something in return? Nope.

He's a good player who I think could have been used more effectively in relief of Api. Now we're shooting our depth in the one position we have it seemingly only to the benefit of another club.

I thought, and still think, it was great letting talau and brooks go to Manly, but this one baffles me. Simpkin isn't a world better but he's a very decent hooker.

Strange he isn’t starting. Though with Simpkin leaving maybe has purposely been given the bench hooker roll to better prepare for that job when it is time in the NRL side.

I’ve got Polynesian mates who even joke about us having more Polynesian players in our roster than the Warriors.

Over 65% of all NRL contracted players are Polynesian heritage this season. We played 8 last game far less than most other sides well above us….

Finally.... the club is finally getting our roster management in order.

While I wish all the best for the young bloke, it's great to see we didn't wait 10 years for him to come good like we did with Luke Brooks.

Agent Isaac Moses likely pushed him to leave early to free up money—the same money used to upgrade to Galvin this year, who is also managed by Moses. A win-win for Moses.

Good luck to Jake. I don't think he is quick enough with his passes around the ruck to go on and become elite. He is only young still though.

I assume they have plans to put TDS in his spot the rest of the year to get some first grade experience ..and they save about $150k for moving Simpkin on early that can be put towards moving out some of the deadwood ..

I said earlier …might have been worth trying to trade for one of Manly outside backs stuck in reserve grade like Parker ..even just as a loan for the rest of the year … But no…nothing …we are the only dupes who trade players
