**JAMES GRAHAM will leave St Helens at the end of next season.**
>
The England prop's friendship with Sam Burgess and glowing reports of life Down Under have made him decide his future lies there.
>
Liverpool-born Graham, 25, a firm favourite with Saints fans, will now have a queue of NRL clubs chasing him. Russell Crowe's South Sydney side - who already have Burgess in their ranks - will obviously lead the pack but Graham, England's top front-rower, can name his price.
>
Shrewd Saints have already planned ahead by lining up Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, 24, to replace him on a three-year contract. They have also signed prop Josh Perry from Manly-Warringah.
>
Royce Simmons - who will take charge of Saints next year - will also be able to call on Kieron Purtill, current No 2 to outgoing coach Mick Potter, and long-serving international hooker Keiron Cunningham, who is joining the coaching staff in 2011.
>
Simmons, currently assistant at Wests Tigers and with the Australian national team, was also delighted to hear at his interview that the club had virtually nailed the signing of Castleford's England centre Michael Shenton on a five-year deal.
>
Hooker ANDREW HENDERSON, in dispute with Barrow for three months, is expected to leave the club this weekend.

Giddy Up…..Whatever it takes....

Get in his Ear Roycie......

Why does it say that South Sydney 'obviously' lead the race?
they are no chance of affording him and i would say that they wouldnt be looking for forwards.

Our boys really stepped up this year , if we had won the GF we might have had some money to sign some players but the fact is we cant afford anyone with a big price tag.
Our roster is pretty good and tallent all around , no signings IMO for us..expect for retentions.

There are legal ways to have more than the cap on the books.

Eg: Player X is payed payed a total of $500,000
The club pays $150,000 of that, the remaining $350,000 is paid by a third party who is NOT a sponsor of the club
Only $150,000 is counted towards the cap.
That is how we afforded Lote and it's why Burges is only on around "100k" at souths.

It sounds like a gold mine, but in reality it's hard to find many third parties willing to fork out that much dosh.

Not to mention it says at the end of next season. We have plenty off contract next year. We would have to lose some decent crop though.

Boys - Pray that I win Lotto. I promise to fund 2 Marquee players a year…

Who would I poach first ???...

….not when the gladiator is around, paper bag side salary is on offer.

Now thats a scary thought…. imagine one of Russell Crowe's production companies buying a whole bunch of ring ins -

I don't want to put the mockers on the guy, but you better watch out if Crowe is announced to have cancer or something.... His bucket list might have on it - "watch souths win a premiership" - and boy oh boy, i'm sure he has mighty deep pockets...

This is where we need Harry Triguboff to get involved again. The blokes got what, $4 billion or so? Surely he can spare a few $100K here and there to top up some of our star players contracts and keep us under the cap.

Harry still puts funds in behind the scenes.

What about Jim Masterton's mob?

Maybe…

Table 5 at the GF Luncheon was a very interesting table..

Hybrid...If that was the Wests Tigers starting pack in 2012...Well....look out

Always a pleasure…

He will also be lining up for the Poms in the up coming 4 Nations...

He's murdered the competetion for the past couple of seasons to get the "Top Metre Maker" award
[Here's some stats](http://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player.php?hs1=2010&hp1=1885&hs2=2010&hp2=778&stat=tries&season=2010)
He's not a high impact player like Burgess, but his workrate and yards in the tackle are phenominal.

I love seeing these pommys come to the NRL and really test themselves, Burgess, Ellis, Carney and Morley to name a few (then there was Fieldon who talked up coming but never did). I hope he does come down under, he's a fantastic prop, probably second in the world to 70c/L. I'd love to have him at the Tigers.
