I reckon I could fill half a page with stuff that Tedesco has had to battle with the club to get back that was fairly his

Compensation with surgeries ,studies , unfulfilled promises of cars They compensation for his 1st knee surgery took months to get back

Just remember these blokes at this stage are on league minimums usually as well

I don't blame our best players wanting to leave , surely this garbage that our club rolls out continuously off and on the paddock can't happen at the better clubs and then you get to make the semis as well and don't have to put up with this constant media barrage

This season we have been on the front and back page of the papers for every week of almost every month in the season and pre season

Don't blame the players for leaving , blame the club , the players have meet their side of the bargain , the club doesn't meet its side

IE Brooks

"James we'd like to offer you a million dollars per year to play football with your mates."

"Yeah but what about the $9K you paid me late in 2011?"

Yeah if only it was that simple , mate ever thought that being the face of a club like Woods and Tedesco are (most people would walk straight past Brooks and Moses in the street ) that has had 2 drug takers and a guy beating against their own team takes it's toll

The idea about life is trying to make it as simple as possibly across the board

What in God's name is simple about the WT's ??

By season's end everyone will understand what the other 15 clubs and their players think about us when we sign no one of note

(Don't worry some will think the signings are masterstrokes )

That 30.4% will drop before seasons end and will probably nosedive

But we can keep blaming players and coaches for that because the club is the absolute model for success , makes you wonder why Melbourne ,Brisbane ,Roosters and the like don't mimic our every move

I've finally figured it out - you're that Joe Wehbe bloke! No wonder you're so mad! Tough break about the job mate.

Damn caught out again , least the Roosters will pay double and its all cash in bags

Happy, I don't think anyone would argue that the club has had it's share of BS in the past and at times treated players poorly. However, I honestly believe that Pascoe has done a great job thus far under challenging circumstances and the appointment of Cleary is nothing short of brilliant. Cleary will take us into the future, I have no doubt. Without his appointment I wouldn't have that hope of recovery that I honestly feel.

The future is bright….unfortunately without a collective unit that can't occur. If these guys have decided the time is now to get out, then fine. We move on without them.

Previous administration has made us a laughing stock....not the current one, that's the important thing to remember. 'The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting the same results'. As fans, as a club...we need to move forward and have faith in the direction the club is heading. We need to trust that we're getting it right now or we'll never move forward.

Yes, there will be things like this that throw a spanner in the works but we need to move on collectively and put trust in the club as a whole that we are moving in the right direction, that "we're all on the bus."

I disagree I wouldn't have signed any of them except Tedesco for the cash that is being paid.
The club is run poorly however, a good coach with full control and cap space can turn it around for sustained success. We will have to build with solid signings and no stars. Attracting talent will be difficult but there are so many players off contract and now no competition in Sydney. Roosters, Dogs, Panthers, Eels, Manly have zero room and STGI will struggle to retain their off contract players. Sharks have cash for 1-2 players but we are in a good position to recruit.

I needed a laugh tonight Happy haha. All aboard!!!

The club stuffed up in the past mate. They stuffed players around…the new admin has offered them more cash then anyone and shown them the future. They had a choice. The boys are obviously over it and know they can compete straight away for premierships with the Roosters/Dogs. Not much could be done.

The cash we'll save will allow us a better balance across the team instead of huge sums of money/overs to be spent on individuals.

It hurts now, but we'll be right.

Mate more than anything it upsets me that Forum members and WT's fan in general aren't up in arms about this

How loyal fans can still sit back and cop this from our club and not want to turn this club upside down and rebuild it PROPERLY like should have happened from the start

The club still doesn't realize that if you don't have proven player talent you don't win premierships or even make the semis

Why do people think clubs like the Dogs and the Roosters do everything they can to secure top players as well as top coaches ??

I'm absolutely furious about this

3 Finals appearances in 18 years (yes this one is included , trust me )

You don't think they know that you need good players to win games? Well, Go didn't know who Laurie Daley is so I suppose it's possible. Flick Pascoe an email asap.

Did the club know about the drug takers? Did they know about Simona? More importantly did the players? If so why didn't they say something?

As for "being the face of the club" , there's two ways you can handle things in life, the cowards way, or the other way. Cooper Cronk chose the other way, fronted up, announced he would not be at the club the following year, didn't want to drag his club through all the crap and the media fascination was done and dusted in a couple of days.

Lets move on to our little darlings. Obviously they didn't want to stay and thats ok. 95% of supporters would be disappointed but would have copped it on the chin if they had of shown just a smidgen of the class Cooper Cronk showed. Unfortunately under poor instruction from a manager that let things get very personal between himself and the club, not only has the clubs reputation been tarnished further, make no mistake, these guys brand is damaged also.

You know the family or have some personal connection to Tedesco. I don't. Clearly we have different perspectives on it for this reason. Your emotional connection is with him. All I have is my passion for the club and sure, I know my words are extremely vindictive. But James is paid very, very handsomely for his efforts on the field. That is a product of the passion of the fans. That passion cuts both ways. He has to be a big boy and accept that people are going to be very upset at the decision. It won't go beyond a few nasty words written on the internet.

Again Timmy for about the 15th time today I don't care they have left

The issue is why these players are leaving

You blame the players because you don't know the half of it

I blame the club because of all the stuff I have heard

More money on the table , 2nd best player welfare scheme and players are still walking

They are sick of getting dragged into the turmoil week after week , year after year

Do you blame them

Maybe if the players aimed up and were winning consistently their would be less drama around the club as well. Cuts both ways

Exactly. These guys are absolute dogs with no class whatsoever. Anyone trying to spin this as being about the club is delusional. The club has done everything right. It's the scumbo players and player manager who thought they could run this club into the ground and screw us over. When the club pushed back a little it was time for the tantrums to follow.

The moral of the story is that because someone is a good footy player it doesn't mean he is a decent person. We just happened to punt on some players that weren't good people. The club will move on and hopefully build a squad that can compete without having a select few prima-donnas screwing us over.

Never ever thought teddy would leave. I'm still hoping rottfield has got bad info

Is this the same Buzz Rothfield that guaranteed 1000% that Mitchell Moses would be playing for the Eels this weekend after speaking with Isaac Moses..?

Going against the grain of what has been stated in today's media I was told again this morning from someone close to the club that Tedesco has denied signing anything at this stage.
The club has still not given up hope
I guess we will all know come around 3pm today

I was a lone voice when we talked about a single league club taking majority share. After the board restructure, we were starting to rebuild. We're quickly diving back to the bottom of the pile like I predicted. Some people just don't make the connection.. You can see the leaks starting to reappear and bad decisions starting to be made again.

That said, a high percentage of instability has been from the players themselves. Want out of the media? Don't give them a window with stupid comments! It's going to follow them unless they wise up.

However, it's less the players of this generation that arent to blame for this me, me, me attitude. It has come down from our senior marque players before them. It a cultural element that we haven't stamped out yet. You saw it with Benji when in contract neg with St George, after he had moved on. Said he was worth more publicly on TV. Just ignorant.

James Graham is the perfect example of how to lead and shut it down.

We need to get the right players this time and stamp out that culture. Et, nofa, Lawrence are those guys.

It is that simple mate. I am on a good wicket myself and Tedesco stands to make more than 5x what I do per year for at least 4 seasons, in addition to whatever he has already earned. So he will be ~20 years in front of me when he's finished just this next contract.

I already cop enough grief in my job with clients, Tedesco gets paid to play football, train and sometimes talk. Sure there's lots of stress for a pro footballer and the position of the club can help, but the bloke is on a motza and I won't hear the complaints about the minor issues.

All he has to do is go out and play his best football. Tedesco hardly cops any criticism ever, he's too good a footballer. What does Tim Simona or the historical board issues or choice of captain have to do with going out and playing football.

Thing about the Roosters is, if he goes there and something goes wrong, they'll dump him SUPER fast. Go to those "winning" clubs if that's what you think of them, but they'll toss you to the curb faster than the battler clubs will.
