James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Coin isn't exactly an issue for Tedesco.

He's already loaded.

It would be other promises made that would be the lure.

What other lures are left, he is SOO and potentially the next kangaroo full back?

He is playing with a current blues and kangaroo player in woods, Moses is up and coming if we can get players around them then there are no lures.

To the best of our knowledge he doesn't have a problem with JT neither.

This is true , but can JT lead Teddy to the promised land ???
I doubt it !

Oh I don't know - a greater chance at actually winning a Premiership perhaps?

I think if we buy right from 2018 and on we are as good a chance of winning the premiership as the roosters are.

Agree and Imo the jury is out on JT's ability.

But with the right players around teddy Moses brooks and woods even the hardest of JT's detractors would have to agree that a premiership is possible for us after 2018.
We have seen coaches that we wouldn't rate at the time take the right team to a win.

If it comes down to TPAs he is as good as gone. Can't compete with the Rorters.
Unless we start up a "Go Fund Me" campaign to keep him here?

Anyone can see the team is playing united and happy, the kids run the team now.

I'm confident we will keep our big 4 at the moment.

Big 3\. At this point in time I am not fussed if Brooks moves on or not. He will need to step up in a big way next year, no more disappearing for periods.

If it were all about money he would have stayed at Canberra. He likely crapped himself when Proctor, Ennis and Mansour all backed out on Ricky. In retrospect he may be kicking himself now though.

Ha ha ha
Not that I believe a gofund me page would work for a second, nobody would actually hand over the cash once the contract was signed. but it would be the ultimate emotional blackmail. If it hit the papers that fams had even raised 40k to keep him where he was given his chance. How could he not stay!!! His reputation would be shot for turning down actual fans donating their hard earned.

And 40k in terms of his negotiations would be nothing, I even doubt he would accept it it would just be really emotional surely… classic move - are you involved in really dodgy tough negotiations by any chance?

I'm sorry I just can't get passed this - Mavis aged 73 has been a wests tigers fan since their inception. She is on the pension and has season tickets to the Tigers and never missus a game.
She also has a weekly coffee at coffe club but she has given that up to keep James Tedesco where his dream began.

Little tommy does a paper round every Saturday morning before going to play rugby for football. He idolises James Tedesco and has given a 50% stake in his paper round so he can keep cheering his name at Campletown stadium…

I can see a 60 minute story here now!!!

Absolute brilliance.

No chance with JT at the helm. He could not even get our team motivated for their must win game against the raiders. Like Robbie, they may have a better opportunity to win the comp elsewhere.

You wish?

RLW mole had a story about how the roosters are going to be throwing over 1 million a season at Teddy, and even try to get him for 2017.
How can the roosters throw that amount at Teddy when they have a fair bit tied up elsewhere, I really think we need to be very smart with this re-signing, and in my opinion we would have a far better chance of doing this with another coach in charge.

Why would tigers have a better chance of retaining Tedesco if they had a different coach? Where has he even hinted that this is the case? Tedesco is under contract next year and Tigers won't let him go. Nor should they Tedesco and Moses will be the driving force behind Tigers making the top 4 next year.

I noticed that they were happy in the Raiders game, and also noticed how well the kids ran the team, we can't lose

Why should we care what Tedesco thinks about the coach or the players around him. He signs with us or he goes. I want him to stay but the hypocrisy on this forum when it comes to players influencing the clubs decisions is hilarious.

I think we should be a top 4 team with a couple of small changes to our squad. I think the coach though is a risk and has underperformed significantly over the last 2 seasons. Another year of ineptitude from the coach and the club should sack him.

If you believe what you read Tedesco actually rates taylor as a coach but I guess he is going to be offered some serious money from all over the place, so the chance of playing in a top side might be very tempting. Although I still think if we can get close with the money and convince him we are a team on the up we will go very close

Roosters want Teddy bad

If we lose him I'll be gutted and will most probably lose faith in the game

I was a Wests supporter when Tommy Raudonikis went to Newtown and if that didn't make me lose faith, neither will losing ANY player.
