Why Teddy remained a Tiger
James Tedesco is close to re-signing with the Tigers – but the intriguing part of it all is why the Roosters pulled out of the race to sign the star fullback.
It all came about because – despite the denials – Tigers halfback Mitchell Moses agreed to sign with the Roosters last year and then backflipped.
That enraged Roosters’ management – and they declared war on Moses’ manager Isaac Moses.
The Roosters resolved not to deal with Moses any more – and one of Moses’ clients just happens to be the flying Tedesco.
So as a result of all that, Tedesco’s plans of taking a massive deal with the Roosters for 2018 fell apart.
The star fullback still has several clubs keen on his services, with the Bulldogs believed to be leading the pack.
But the mail is that the Tigers have come up with a package good enough to keep Tedesco in a major coup for the joint venture.
