James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

https://twitter.com/BuzzRothfield/status/854670933562281984

This is becoming better than Days of our Lives and Bold and Beautiful. I think right now, don't care what happens, just want it over with. It's becoming too much.

This could be the biggest con job in a while. We've had these players in our side for a few seasons now and we've never looked likely. $1m for a frontrower is unheard of unless he's a copy of the brick and Moses has no idea when it comes to closing out a game exhibit A on Sunday v parra. How can he demand a $1m? Tedesco is a great player but already playing on dodgy knees.
Yes we could be lamenting what if in 1-2 years but we could also be saying how lucky we are that we dodged a bullet.

What is there to lose Ed?

These players have taken us to 15th, 13th, 15th, 9th and probably about 14th this year.

We are not losing premiership winning players.

All I know is that we support a side that is the laughing stock of the NRL and nothing ever seems to change that …......

Remember when we used to be everyone's 2nd favourite team

Like Ink the passion is waning

Many are going to be highly disillusioned by seasons end , we are going to be like the Rich Ugly kid , money to spend but no one wants to be seen within cooee of us

Be really disappointed if this is the case, more so than any other player in the past.

Not much we can do, I'm sure the club tabled a good offer, but with clubs like the Roosters who seem to be able to do what they want, not much the club can do.

In saying that, so much for them wanting to stick together eh?

Agree. Tedesco is one knee knock from a career threatening injury.

If he does go to the Roosters, as they say in the Theartre 'break a leg'

Think Canberra have been a great example that with smart recruiting you can recover. 3 years ago they had Tedesco renege and also blew the signings of Ennis, Mansour and Proctor. They were rock bottom. People said no one wanted to be there because no one wanted to live in Canberra. Look at them now. Targeted a few pommies and discards from other clubs, now they are a top 4 side. Us signing guys like McIlwrick is a step in the right direction. If we can pick out a couple more players like him and pick up 2 or 3 marquee players, it isn't a lost cause, not with Cleary at the helm. Just use the Raiders blueprint.

Like everyone else in life we realize we will end up growing apart and the sky doesn't cave in

Honestly they themselves will be far better off moving on

I like the positive replacements for Tedesco but players like that come along every 20 years and a grub club like the Rorters or Dogs snap them up

Also doesn't help when the player is bagging the crap out of the club while he is still there

In all honestly, if he joins the Rorters or Dogs I wish him nothing but misery

Kent on 360 Teddy signed with Roosters in cooling off period.

That's devastating if true …. and it probably is.

Forty years I have been putting up with Wests losing star players ....now it looks like our best three players are leaving .... it just doesn't give a bloke the heart to keep supporting them.

I don't see it that way, Knuckles. I've been supporting Wests for 56 years now and this stuff just makes me more determined to stick with the Club. Players come and go but the club is what I have always and will always support.

I feel the club has done the right thing here and I'm fine with however it turns out.

There will be some upset little puppies on here if he does sign with the Roosters.

Understandably. Most of us still remember his first game in first grade when he lasted about 6 minutes.

One ACL, one busted kneecap with a few side dishes later he is going to walk away from his best mate Nofo to take a a reportedly lower offer from the chooks.

At least I won't have to squirm when he goes down awkwardly as he often does :ugeek:

They club has not done the right thing. The club is not telling you all the details. If the club had done the right thing then no one would be leaving.
Why are the captain and best player leaving when the club has presented them both with two of the highest offers ever in NRL history? Hello Mr Pascoe..care to share?

I don't buy this. As a side point your posts always seem to be so down. I don't view the Tigers as the laughing stock of the NRL and I think most people don't as well.

I have some mates who are Parra supporters. They just went through a bad period with rorting and they were laughing at how hopeless their club was. It changes in a season or two.

We've had up times and down times. This might look bad but I don't really think it is.

Aah that seems like something the players might be in a better position to answer?

What would the "right thing" have been? Keep throwing more and more money at them? Sign them at the expense of being able to do anything else with a roster that has not been competitive for the title over the last few years?

Sorry I started to get all excited and then I realized that one of our alleged marquee players was leaving to go to that laughing stock you mentioned

Take off the glasses Earl

If you watch tigers game Tedesco the only thing worth watching for a tigers game, and watching 3 blokes play for us knowing their gone next year makes it pointless.

What fan would wanna watch a losing team have their 3 best players go to another team next year ? Why bother I think Fans would rather hope on them getting injured to screw up for nrxt year
