I watched that interview a couple of days ago pHyR3.

I was pretty surprised/pleased to hear the part about JT - Nofo seemed to suggest he is a good people manager which is something JT gets a lot of crap about. Really does seem like the majority like him.

Do you really believe, that any player who wants to stay in first grade would answer any question about the head Coach in any sort of negative way.
Some footballers are dumb, but not that dumb.
What they say about coaches cannot be believed, ( until they've retired, or at least changed clubs.
Of course everything's sweet and cosy!!!

So, you know better than a current player about the inside running of the club. Don't believe a word that the player says, but believe everything that I say??

:crazy :crazy

Geez Col.
Why do you need something explained, that was already self explanatory.

I never said , I know better than any player.
I never said don't believe a word that a player says.

It was a question (In first lines of post) ,that very few people would answer yes to.
Maybe I should've added " in Public" to that, but as that was what we were referring (a public Interview, ) I didn't think it needed to be explained.

I was referring to the particular context of bagging a Coach in public.
I stand by my comment that footballers would be nuts to publicly Bag a head coach, if you can remember many players that have done that, good for you,
But In the vast number of cases when a player is asked about a Present Coach it will be hearts and flowers. The bagging is mainly reserved for when they are shunted, or have already left the club.
As you can see when you actually read the o p, I said nothing about the inside running of ANY CLUB
Maybe Nofo thinks that JT is the greatest coach in the NRL . But il bet that his answer would still have been positive, no matter what he thinks of him :unamused:

Ayoub can't remember the TPA deal on the napkin, cannot say who the 3rd party was that was supposed to pay said amounts, but can remember representing his player to get the money. He is a crook, and the sooner the NRL bites the bullet and starts hammering some of the managers involved in obvious salary cap rorting, the better the game would be.

Finals or not, James Tedesco is already planning on a Wests Tigers NRL dynasty, believing the joint venture’s gun young playmakers can replicate the dominating era of star Melbourne trio Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk.
>
In an ultimate show of faith in coach Jason Taylor, the Tigers’ No.1 has pencilled in a sales pitch to teammates Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks over the summer to remain at the club long term.
>
All three stars come off contract at the end of next season but, given their recent run of wins, Tedesco is adamant their best chance of success in the NRL is by sticking together in Tigerland.
>
“All three of us know we play our best footy when we’re all together and, footy-wise, it would be best if we can stay together,” he said on Wednesday.
>
“Obviously, it’s going to be hard.
>
“But with how we’ve been going the last few weeks, it’s pretty clear there’s something special going on here and, if we can keep that going for the next few years, that will be good for us.”
>
So enamoured is Tedesco with the club’s vein of form that the NSW State of Origin fullback would consider taking a pay cut to stay.
>
He’d even try to convince the other two into doing the same and, in doing so, hope to usher in a new era to follow on from the long-running reign of the Storm’s Smith, Slater and Cronk.
>
“We haven’t crossed that bridge yet, but I think we probably could talk about that,” Tedesco said.
>
“You see a team like the Storm with Slater, Smith and Cronk, who have been able to stay together their whole careers, and they’ve really built something special down there.
>
“It’s an opportunity for us and we’ll just have to see how it goes with management.”
>
Tedesco said he recently knocked back an approach from the club to begin talks on a contract extension, but would be ready to take a seat at the table at the end of the season.
>
With four games to go in the regular season, the 9th-placed Tigers remain in the hunt for a finals spot.
>
“I’ve said I wanted to focus on my footy and we’ll finish this year. Then we’ll get to talks after that,” he said.
>
Tedesco’s confidence in the club comes just weeks after Taylor’s controversial decision to axe veteran Robbie Farah from first grade, handing the reins to the next generation.
>
The 23-year-old, who was talked into backflipping on a deal with Canberra in 2014 by Farah, said he always had belief the team could perform without the former captain.
>
“We knew what JT had in mind and he analyses our games every day and night,” he said.
>
“Whatever JT’s plans were, we all had belief in them. (Aaron) Woods has done a good job of getting us away from the media and not reading too much into stories and staying focused on our game.”

Go to the highest bidder Teddy and look after yourself …. There's no loyalty at the Tigers as we have seen.

Another whose bitter

Yeah, lets encourage the guy who has the potential to be the clubs greatest ever player to leave because we don't agree with the Farah situation :crazy

I knew someone would put a negative slant on that story.
Its great to here him talk that way about the club and the coach.

That's what Foran did and he found out the hard way that life in football doesn't necessarily revolve around having the biggest pay cheque.

You can't see me, so let me assure I rolled my eyes quite vigorously.

What a champ!

Already a tigers legend in my eyes, imagine having Moses, Brooks and Tedesco on reduced deals. Allowing us to bring in more players and build a good team around them!

This is not a statement this is a fact…

James Tedesco is not money motivated he couldn't give a rats ass if he was being paid peanuts but winning matches here, the bloke plays to succeed and win premierships with his mates at the Tigers and we all should admire that.... Let's hope Moses and Brooks feel the same!

Come on now …. Hehehe ... Yess yess we all love Teddy but this is Rugby League .... The almighty dollar has the last say .... Player managers see to that. You are naive to think otherwise.

Anyway, time will tell .... Let's hope he does stay for peanuts.

You know what knuckles if one of the most exciting players in the game right now who is in the inner sanctum of the club and has seen everything play out first hand wants to commit to our club long term then I think maybe you should be taking his lead instead of him taking your advice.

Good on ya Teddy!!

He is a good man Teddy - and so are his mates. They are our juniors and the heart soul and future of this club. Let's hope we manage them properly.

I personally don't see it as anymore than a fluff piece. We're winning, emotions are running high and the players would be happy, so it's natural that would be influencing him to want to stay. See how he goes when he has millions of dollars in front of him. If he's good to his word though, naturally my respect for him would sky rocket. I want him to stay obviously, but if he receives a better offer, you can't begrudge him looking after himself if you're being objective. I will expect heads to roll within the club should he leave though.

He's not going play for peanuts..you peanut. It's also been reported that the WTs are looking at putting together a massive long term contract for him. If another club puts in a offer that's clearly paying overs. He is probably looking at the last RF contract and seeing how happy Robbie is right now and thinking ….I don't want to be in that situation

Stay at the Tigers for a fair salary. If they all do that they will still end up rich and possibly they will be happier because they get to have great careers.

If he leaves I'm going to bonkers again.

Knuckles has a point, you blokes just can't or won't see it.
Farah stayed loyal, took a back ended deal to help the club, and look at him, being shoved out the door by the coach, whilst I think Farah should go at the end of the year, the coach who shoved him out should also hit the frog and toad.
But I do love Teddy's attitude and desire, he is a real wests boy and weststiger legend.

If Tedesco was to leave i'm sure you and Knuckles would be among the first to lay the boot into the club for making such a blunder in letting him go. It's easy to talk tough now, telling him to leave. Lets see if you'll actually be congratulating him if it becomes a reality. I have my doubts.
