James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

GCT, the club has not forced him to move, nor have they attempted to deny him money owed. If he's not in the clubs plans, they are entitled to tell him he's free to go.

I cant believe I support them same team as some of the idiots on here. Just makes me wonder….

Aaaawwwwhhh. Us idiots have feelings too you know :bawling
Sorry we are not the genteel , non idiot , good looking types that you want around you.

Hang on…..some of us are, We're in the Gentlemens Legends club, and I bet if we tried hard we could also have as much of a superiority complex as you plainly do.

Don't remember referring to you or anyone else in particular GCT. You don't have to when some just come along and nominate themselves.

No. It's easy to see who you think are idiots, that's anyone who had a different opinion to you. .

Or he could be referring to the hero from last night who wanted to go the knuckle over a difference of opinion. I don't think Swordy is the type to call people idiots because he disagrees with them.

If he chooses to go and chase the dollar, that's his prerogative. I'll be sad to see him go but like last time I'll defend his right to do so. He's entitled to do what he feels he needs to do to look after himself. There's no guarantees at this club anymore so he'll be expected to put in for the life of his contract.

Obviously I hope he stays, but I will not be burning an effigy if he goes.

It's amazing an article on Teddy wanting to stay can cause so much negativity…. I agree with swordy , some of our supporters are sad bitter whingers.
Lets hope our big 3 stick around for years to come and form the basis of a dynasty

FORGET Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk. A new big three has emerged in the NRL and they’re all under the age of 24.

Wests Tigers trio James Tedesco, Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses are the future of the club and in the infancy of replicating a dominant era similar to that of Melbourne.

But the joint venture has a difficult job on their hands re-signing their superstars with all three players off-contract at the end of next season.

Seven News reports Tedesco could command an asking price worth $1.5 million a season on the open market and will wait until the end of the year before opening talks with the club.

“I wanted to wait until the end of the year,” Tedesco said of his future.

“After the season is over, hopefully get some talks going.”

Back in 2014 Tedesco back flipped on a lucrative three-year-deal with Canberra in order to remain at Concord until the end of 2017.

His halves, Brooks and Moses, recently trigged options in their favour to stay on another season.

Tedesco sacrificed serious coin to remain at the Tigers.

In the ultimate show of faith in coach Jason Taylor, the Tigers’ No. 1 has pencilled in a sales pitch to teammates Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks over the summer to remain at the club long term.

“We haven’t crossed that bridge yet, but I think we probably could talk about that,” Tedesco said.

“You see a team like the Storm with Slater, Smith and Cronk, who have been able to stay together their whole careers, and they’ve really built something special down there.

“It’s an opportunity for us and we’ll just have to see how it goes with management.”

NRL360 host Paul Kent said that he believes the trio will have more success if they stay together than they will if they leave the Tigers.

“First off, they’re in the key positions,” Kent said.

“The drivers of your success these days are your one, six, seven and nine. Now they’ve got three of the four filled.

“They are all hugely talent and they’ve got enormous respect for each other that they’re willing to share the accolades.

“No one’s going to get upset if suddenly this week it’s Tedesco’s turn to get all the pats on the back and then the next week it’s Brooks.

“(Smith, Cronk and Slater) are the model. Look at Parramatta in the 80s. That was a generation that came through and stuck together.”

Mini says Teddy could be anything

Anthony Minichiello is one of the best fullbacks to have ever played the game and now it’s a 23-year-old from Western Sydney who’s exciting him.

Tedesco has been in lightening form for the Tigers as he takes his game to the next level in 2016.
'He could be anything'

The scary thing is, Tedesco is only getting better with Minichiello tipping big things from the Tigers No. 1.

“He’s an excitement machine,” Minichiello said on NRL Tonight.

“He’s got great ball playing ability as well.

“His game as a whole is pretty good. He’s still improving.

“If he can keep playing like this, he could be anything in the game. He’s one of the most exciting players in the last few years.”

Timing is everything and of course there is the issue of selective loyalty by the club. For this article to appear at this time has a certain whiff about it.

Please make the three of them stay at the Tigers. There's so much optimism and excitement around the club right now. We were tipped to be in contention for the spoon and now we are on the cusp of playing finals footy.
I'm a happy Wests Tigers fan

Happy, your second point is interesting. I was thinking about that very thing earlier and how, potentially, it would open the door for other TPA's to ensure he has a talented squad around him. Only problem is it might not be for WT.

This is why TPA's have to go…....... :brick:

Interesting….so the people that he's calling idiots are actually the ones that agree with him, oh now I see.thanks for clearing that up

Thanks GNR. I don't know how to respond though to GCT. Too good for me.

Just as he's free to stay and get paid for doing so,
See we've solved the whole problem in a couple of sentences. PWhat's all the fuss about?

There is no fuss. If he stays, he stays. But the club has made it clear he isn't in their plans going forward. So he can't really complain when he's free to leave to go to a club that will accommodate him. The longer he stays, the longer he's making himself look like the guy who who can't accept it when his girlfriend tells him its over.

At least it's Farah V JT instead of Wests V Balmain.

It's nice to see a different argument other than that old chestnut permeate every thread for a change.
