James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

If all or some of them go, surely with the cap we have available we would buy experience instead of paying big bucks for "potential" get immediate results , not have another long term plan

Buying experience and buying a good first grader are 2 very different things. Usually when we buy experience we get a busted player who either is always injured or terrible on the field.Ellis was probably the last experienced player to turn out well and he really only ESL experience

Sadly you very seldom have a player like Teddy and to a lesser extent Moses find there way into our club and yes if they did up and leave we would have a lot of money to spend but could we replace them…I doubt it, so it would be back to square one once again

A close mate of mine is in management at the Roosters. He's not directly involved with recruitment, however does get told a bit a fair bit about the ins and outs at the club. He was over at the nines last weekend and I messaged him after they won and told him they can win without Teddy and to tell his boys to keep their dirty hands off him cos he's ours. He laughed and told me not to worry it and he was 99% sure it was just rumours and there's nothing to it.

I'd be more concerned about the Dogs getting Teddy to be honest. Des has a habit of spending big and buying anyone he can to win a premiership.

My cousin who's a huge Tigers fan recently did work experience at the club. He described the "gym facilities" as nothing more than a old local swimming pool gym. He said it was honestly embarrassing and his school gym was better equipped.

We're supposed to be a professional sporting club, yet we offer 8 x exercise balls and sale items from Rebel Sport. There's probably a few chucked out weight benches that Sheens and Royce picked up from council clean-ups when they were re-arranging the gym. If we're going to entice some of these big names to come and also retain our own, this seriously needs to be a huge focus. Harry can build towers, so please old mate - build us a decent facility.

They should have a look at the Titans new complex at Parkwood, to see what other clubs are doing. It's amazing in both its facilities and location
The Titans are starting to get their act together, and have the facilities that Will attract recruits as well as their own top juniors to come to the club.
It will be harder to pull their juniors away , as most don't want to leave the Coast anyway. But now have more reasons than ever to stay here than ever before.

Boy there are some rumours regarding theses two, I want them both to stay but, If they want to go & we have made them good offers what do we do. I do remember Teddy saying if he got a good offer from the Tigers he would stay, He also said they same about Brooks & Moses.Hope its over & done with soon.

I think that most of these rumours are coming from Mitch, so it gives him the chance to go on tv for another interview.
Self Confidence is great, but talking himself up at every chance is another thing.

He's probably not entirely to blame GCT, being a young bloke getting asked this question repeatedly by the media. But yeah, it gets old very quick don't it…

There is no use wondering if these players are going to be signed, the club supposedly has the richest man in the country as a backer ,if this is just talk forget about signing any of them as without huge TPAS this club has no chance in the open market ..so it boils down to one man whether these contracts will be renewed .

It will be a PR nightmare if they lose Tedesco. They're building him up so much to be the face of the club that I don't know what they will do if he leaves.

Both Moses and Tedesco are starting to sound like politcians. Both denying they have spoken to another club. Yet leaving their future in the hands of their manager who has probably shopped them around to every club under the sun. The more they say its in my managers hands the more i think they arent staying. Even WOODS has gone quiet. Id love one of them to come out and say im a tiger and as long as we can work something out im not going anywhere.

Woods has not said one word, either way. I respect he probably doesn't want to disclose his intentions, but being club captain I think it's a little disappointing.

If these guys wanted to stay they would already have signed ,it has nothing to do with being shopped around for a higher price that is rubbish there is a price point so in actual fact other clubs would of already made there bid.
I think they should man up and sign or explain they want out because the way they are answering questions is a joke !

I remember when Mayer was in charge, re-signing all these players til the end of 2017\. I tweeted stating that it would be a debacle trying to re-sign Nofa, Tedesco, Moses, Brooks, Woods all at the same time. I was shot down by fans saying he knows what he's doing blah blah.

As a 14 year old, I could tell that there would be problems. Yet, a "CEO" couldn't see what would happen. Had he just locked up two of those players for an extra year than the other it would have been so much easier.

If we are looking to blame someone for this blame the NRL….. had they set the cap for next year then everyone knows the budgets to deal with....and would commit

Even if he does all you hear is the same lines as every other player uses…..would love to stay but i've left it all in the hands of my Manager.

Id expect Woods to have signed by now. Then as club captain his role should have been to get in the ear of the other 3 and really sold the club, the future and why they should commit. But how can he do any of that when he still hasnt even signed.

Unfortunately i see our season being disrupted severly by these rumours and if they do leave how much will we get out of them when their heart will be somewhere else. We could win a premiership with this group, we should be able to compete fiancially with everyone. Not sure what is going on.

I don't think Woods will go anywhere, and if we want Brooks we'll keep him. Unless he flys out of the gates, I can't see many teams trying to lure him away from us. It's the other two that are causing headaches. I get the feeling Moses has dollar signs in his eyes and that will have a big baring on what he decides to go.

Agree, but if we keep Woods, Brooks & Teddy I think Moses will stay. They have already said that they would like to stay together, and I think that will be at wt. :sign:

I see it as not about money either way they will be paid top $$$, Maybe winning a premiership or what coach will be here after this season or a more professional club .
As far as playing origin or for the country it doesn't matter if there at the Tigers , there certainly is variables at work here it is not about money IMO!

As someone said earlier, the player managers would be waiting for the cap to be set first. Especially the bloke who has our four guys on his books.

The thing I see with this is how many years they would be wanting to sign for? If they all sign 3 year deals? Then what we have the same problem in 2 years time.
Teddy and Woods 4 year deals for sure.
As for Moses and Brooks I'd be waiting half a Season to see how they go and if need be deciding between one or the other, it is a massive risk cause they could go great guns and that will put pressure from other Clubs, I would rather that than commit to paying overs before the year begins.
I have the feeling that something has been agreed already and they will all stay.
Many are forgetting Nofo he is a must.
