For what its worth

Woods is a done deal with the Dogs, was done a couple of weeks ago.

In regards to Teddy, he will remain a Tiger!

Club is also looking at Hopoate, Lichaa & Widdop.

If that's true then we are like a 12 year who has won a million dollars and decided to go and spend it all on junk food. We've never had a war chest before so we need to be taught how to spend money. Hoppa and Lichaa would be going out and flushing cash down the toilet. The only Dogs im interested in are Graham and Reynolds.

Yep Graham for sure, Reynolds I am warming to, but Liccha would be a really bad signing even by our standards.

That last sentence really sums it up for me. Keeping all four would have left us in trouble trying to build a team around them. Just unfortunate that in recent years we let some decent talent go to keep them.

2 out of 3 ain't bad. Widdop is in career best form and is a goal kicker - easy choice. Hoppa Could be a bargain. If we can keep Teddy, Hoppa could be the centre we are need. Defensively very sound and very good in the air. Admittedly he is not a devastating ball runner but very safe. For the right money, I would take him.

Lichaa - why would you buy him with Liddle and Mcilwrick there. Offers very little.
 
Now the real game starts… Roosters are short of our offer by a fair chunk, but the offer is there.

Its a catch 22 for them, and would put them into the fullback position for 15% of their cap between Teddy and Mitchell... I dont see them over-extending here.

Dont think you can count out the Bulldogs with Teddy - just wondering about our ex recruitment officer and his possible role in this.

That's devastating if true …. and it probably is.

Forty years I have been putting up with Wests losing star players ....now it looks like our best three players are leaving .... it just doesn't give a bloke the heart to keep supporting them.

If it turns out the Bulldogs secured Woods (which seems legit), then they are up there with the Panthers as far as playing the Salary Cap futures game, and likely to be burned.

Panthers are working to a fantasy number, but the Dogs are shopping players they have under contract around to find wiggle room. They will soon have problems registering contracts until after the players have moved on…
