How many months did they need? The club couldn't wait any longer as the window of getting replacements for them was closing everyday.

By the sound of it they had better than fair deals tabled to them by us and they know who the coach is now.

If you love the club and your teammates you put pen to paper, get on the bus and get going.

The fact that they are now claiming victim status shows us why, despite their on-field skill, we are better off heading in a different direction.

maybe im just naive, but i feel it's simpler than all that.

i think they honestly dont know what to do yet, especiallly since only a quarter of this season has gone by.

these guys are different to benji/robbie, there's no ego. there's some immaturity but that can be expected of 22-24 year olds right?

Yes you are just naive, I am forced to agree with you.

If they are old enough to demand million dollar deals then they are mature enough to handle it like adults and not like bratty kids who have been grounded from their playststions

Gese you guys are galuble.
Quote unquote
It's been a bit tough," Tedesco told Triple M. "I tried to not read in the media as much as I can and focus on the game ahead.
It's probably going to continue for a FEW WEEKS and I just have to get through it.
We haven't made a decision on our future yet. The media made it for me without us CONFIRMING it.

As far as we need to be concerned the next contract for teddy will not be an issue for the tigers moving forwards because there is no further contract.
Guarantee 'figuratively speaking' we will have it confirmed after the rep round.

I wouldn't be surprised if the story this week is that Tedesco is reconsidering staying if we make him another offer. I'm sure this circus still has at least one more twist.

Well now they are in a position where unless they have signed anything, prospective clubs can drop their valuation of them and offer considerably less….but the Missus was reading on the net that tedesco is allegedly taking around a 700k hit to play with the roosters....
These guys just need the minerals to stand up and say this is what they want to do and move on...at least Mitch Moses did it quick

For me the biggest question that hasn't really been answered by anyone directly is what would've kept each player here?

What is it exactly that they want?

"To know the direction the club is going and to compete for premierships" is the biggest point they've made. The club has done everything to move forward and show the direction we're heading including bringing in a brilliant coach and getting the house in order. If the board/coach/CEO/receptionist or work experience kid is really causing so many headaches like these guys lead everyone to believe, would someone come out with some hard evidence or stick your thumb in it. I honestly believe that Pascoe and Cleary will lead us into success for the long term either way.

If they didn't want to be here all they had to say was "we didn't like the plan given to us by the club in regards to the direction we're heading and have made the decision to sign elsewhere as we believe it's in our best interests." Fair enough, decision made, their contracts up and their entitled to change clubs, everyone moves on. Why does the Tigers contract dramas seem to always play out like an episode of Days Of Our Lives in comparison to other clubs? That's what I'd love to know.

Even today they're still pushing the wagon of "we don't know, we still haven't made our mind up!" and giving the media more speculation to hammer the club with for a few more weeks instead of celebrating a win. Bunch of pelicans.

If they want premierships, go out there and earn one like everyone else. Do they not realise that forcing the club into making huge offers to individuals causes the club to be unable to spread the money across the squad to complement the team as a whole?

They're supposed to be the ones out there winning games and leading the team to premierships to begin with. Sticking solid and building that dynasty like Slater, Smith and Cronk did at Melbourne, the way Johnson is trying to do for NZ, etc. Instead they took the easy way out and want the club to suffer by putting it back on the club….WELL BOYS WHAT DID THE CLUB DO THAT WAS SO BAD??? Offer the most money compared to other clubs? Support you through your entire junior careers (letting others go to show faith in you)? Support you through injuries and poor form? Poor snookums, maybe we should've tucked you into bed as well?

Tedesco is the only real game-breaker. The 4 collectively haven't been able to deliver so are making the club out as the scapegoat whether it be about the board, coaches, Robbie Farah, club direction. Get on with it and just win some games and play like you're paid.

Well said.

As much I don't like him there's no way Buzz Rothfield goes to print unless he knows they're going.

Isaac Moses won't let teddy back out of the roosters deal, politis will have him on concrete boots by sundown

Woods would be the one you could maybe get back, it I doubt that too

In my eyes it's quite possible they have no idea exactly what they want - except to play football and have a shot at winning. The issue is where is their best chance of doing that.
They're a bunch of (relative) kids who've led a very insulated life without much understanding of how the world works. It's fair to say they're being led by a nose ring by a mercenary individual who's best interests lie purely with the highest contract for his clients.
I don't think Woods or teddy mean any malice whatsoever to the club or their team mates - they're just a couple of pawns being shuffled around by a dubious manager.
Regardless of any decision, for 2017 they're part of our team and I hope they can get us to the finals. It's sad that some fans seem to have written us off already.

Totally agree

If they haven't signed contracts maybe the roosters and dogs revised their offers after the tigers stood their ground. Those clubs got a rocket from the nrl about their cap which might of spooked them.

Would be funny if they end up at the newcastle or titans.

I doubt it but would be hilarious.

It seems to be Moses V WT.

And we are fighting back.

Players must be thinking gee we took less money to leave a well coached winning team.

Do we want this or does our manager?

The players are just pawns.

Poor old Woodsy. Usually has half the year off heading to dogs for les money to join his mate Klemmer. But the way Klemmer played today he might be in reggies soon. Dogs a strong club.
The way their going we might win another one before them.

Frankly I'd rather that they both stayed. I for one will miss them both.

Yeh it would be nice but I am not going to get my hopes up again.

Neither will stay, both have ,through their actions, told the club that we are not good enough for them. The ignoring of the deadline was a deliberate ploy by their manager , knowing full well the club would pull the contracts off the table and they could claim they had no choice but to sign elsewhere.
Scripted comments from both woods and tedesco today after the game are 100% smokescreen!

Ive finally come to terms with the whole situation and i no longer despise woods and tedesco especially after their performance against the dogs, all the speculation but they still played their best. Whether they leave or go doesnt matter anymore we wanna play finals footy and they seem focused.

Woods and tedesco were interviewed after the game and they both said they havent sign any contracts, maybe if we get a couple more wins we can get them back on our side though im doubtful. Probably just a lie to get our hopes up

It would be some sort of poetic justice if they both found themselves without a club for next season. Imagine having to crawl back to the WestsTigers with their tails between their legs! Won't happen, but it would be nice!
As Flip said, I would prefer both to stay, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over them moving on.

Poor form from both of them to give supporters false hope by saying they are still undecided when everyone with half a brain knows they won't be here. Who are they trying to fool?

That's not much of a ploy…. Everyone knows they've had months to sign.
Highly unprofessional if correct tho
