Our mate Jimmy Hooper shot down the suggestion, reckons he'll put pen to paper for 4 years this week.

Same one that said a deal was done a week or so ago? He's a peanut. Teddy has agreed to terms but those terms have been rejected by NRL on TPA basis. Doesn't mean he's coming back or what ever just means the roosters have to find the money promised in the contract elsewhere or teddy can accept a lesser offer or he can reject it all together.

SG so what do you make of teddy saying yesterday that he hadn't made any decisions yet?

So when they agree to terms there is no signed contract it just means the negotiations have ended? If he rejects it then there is no reason why he cant sign with the Tigers (if we present a contract).

If agreeing to terms in NRL talks means the same as everyday business, Teddy hasn't signed therefor technically its not a back flip.

He will go to the Chooks, but the plus side now is the NRL have to be seen to be policing the salary cap so they will be forced to release a couple of players. The talk they will release SKD, Gurea or maybe Topou is all crap because they are not under contract beyond this year so they have no influence on next years cap. What they should be saying is they will not be re signing these players

Yep agreeing to terms is nothing and is consistent with Teddy saying he hasnt signed or decided.

For example, Teddy may have said yep those terms are fine and get the TPAs signed off by the NRL knowing that he still had until a contract was put before him (and the expiry of a COP) to make a final decision.

Not saying thats what happened.

Cursed to live in interesting times.

Tedesco is gone. Theres no backflipping. He put a prescripted interview out yesterday to try and get some fans back and people have taken it as hope.

I agree, there is no indication that he is interested in staying other than a few words that have been amplified and apprehended in a fashion that is convenient

So what I've heard is that Tedesco will officially sign on with the Roosters as soon as they get their cap and TPAs in order. Roosters were having issues with some TPAs so the media took that as "Tedesco hasn't signed yet so he must be still considering the Tigers". No such luck, they're just waiting for the Roosters to get their house in order before making it official.

His reputation would be even worse if he stayed now. 2nd contract in a row this has happened. He has to take some responsibility for that.

Thats if he's signed with another team, we don't yet know if he has

Even if he hasn't and signs with us he's still going to look like a clown for letting it get to this point.

fair point

What makes you so sure?

His interview was very similar replies to Woods. More than coincidence one would think

Smoking Gun mate, I appreciate your inside info most of the time but im calling rubbish on this one.

Your source is from inside the Tigers club, I can guarantee you the Wests Tigers have no knowledge of what is going on between the Roosters and Tedesco. How does your source have such great information?

I've worked in rugby league for almost a decade. I have worked for 3 clubs in various positions (mostly being player analysis orientated) I have some connections. Not just at tigers. This info is from an NRL employee directly. It is what it is. Nothing is suggesting Tedesco is staying it's just that the NRL didn't register the terms of the contract on the TPA's. Call it what u want. It is what it is.

Was advised the Roosters and Bulldogs cannot sign the increased players (to 30) as well as both Teddy/Woods unless they clear players out is the other issue. NRL needs to see a clear plan before endorsing a contract. They are both 3 & 6 players shy cap wise for min wage for next season.

Hooper couldn't shoot fish in a seafood market.
