No cooling off, should be announced mid next week
Not everyone is as passionate as Nofa
I doubt many if any would waive COPs
Josh Reynolds…?

plenty of time to do that next year onwards Marzie
No need to boo our own players, we dont need another statement from GO or the Club

Josh Reynolds…?
Did he ? I seriously asked myself that question
Then in my mind i replied that it was just done the right way without any dramas and no one let the cat out of the bag. Unlike the dramas Woods, Tedesco and Moses caused (So far)
I havent read anywhere officially JR waived the COP
I know Nofa did but correct me if im wrong

To me the Reynolds negotiation and signing was handled professionally

you are crushed but you want to go so you start to look for your other options and you ask someone else and they say yes.
so you go and have a good time and might even have a joke with you first choice.
its life.
and its friday night.
Let's sing;
If you can't be with the one you love…....love to one you're with.
@ said:From now on the Roosters will be the beneficiaries of all those freakish plays that Teddy pulls off. You know that try he scored against the Cowboys last year at Leichhardt or that incredible try he scored against the Bunnies in round 1? How about the match winner he scored against the Warriors in round 1 last year?
All of that talent, all of that skill, all of that speed, all of that freakish rugby league player belongs to the Roosters now. We are going to have to play against him next year, he's almost certain to extend their winning streak over us and bag himself a couple of solo tries as well. The Tigers could always rely on Teddy to do something insane and turn the tide of a game single-handedly, that will never happen again.
Talents like James Tedesco come about once every decade. The Tigers will be successful again, that might even be next year. But, James 'Teddy' Tedesco won't be there when it happens. Teddy the Tiger is no longer applicable. He's a local junior, he came through the grades at the Tigers. He suffered multiple injuries to start his career but, he always came back better than before. But now, he's no longer in our team.
One of the reasons this is really heartbreaking is that Tedesco brought people to the games, he was everyone's favourite player. He always stated how much he loved the Tigers and how much this club meant to him, which leads to the question of where that passion was when his club needed him most.
Now every time a Roosters game is on TV, you will hear these words "Starting at fullback for the Roosters tonight, superstar James Tedesco".

All those moments you mention and no mention of finals. I'm under no illusions, he's the best fullback in the game, but let's look at a stat we can take comfort in. No side has ever made the finals with James Tedesco. As good as he is, he's never carried us into September, whoever replaces him won't be as good, that's a given. But he doesn't need to be as long as we are putting money to good use in other areas, which so far we are.

I just feel like we needed to put the right players around him and we would've been right in finals contention. It isn't just about him being the best, everyone loved James Tedesco. He's one of those players that everyone expected to remain loyal and stick by his junior club no matter the circumstances, like Paul Gallen. The worst part is we'll have to play against him next year.

No use beating ourselves up about it. The club did everything they could to accommodate him. It was his choice to go. In regards to him leaving, we are in very good shape putting together a team that will keep him quiet when we play against him next year. The irony with that is his departure enabled us to put that team together.

I trust Ivan will put together a great team and sure I'll love the team and the players that he brings to the club. It's just that I was very fond of Teddy. I don't blame the club, I don't even blame Tedesco. I don't know the circumstances and I don't know what I, myself would have done in those circumstances. Seeing Benji in a Dragons jumper and Farah in a Souths jumper was a weird feeling. I can't imagine what it will be like with Tedesco.
@ said:Btw, the guys who were saying Ted signed the contract today…
He was at training from morning then all the boys went out for lunch around 1-2ish.
Couldn't have possibly signed the contract then.
Not sure if Woods was there. If he was, then tedesco and woods couldn't have both signed contracts today considering they have the same manager.

@ said:Can close the thread teddy to roosters is done. Got confirmation about and hour ago from 2 different sources. Shame. Shades of Fittler to roosters about this one. Now time for tigers to make the right replacement.
