James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

I for one don't want them benched. I want them out there every single minute so the fans can rip into them. Our membership fees go on these guys….and I for one am going to get my value from them

I don't care how bad it sounds but a ACL after 5 mins of round 1 next year against souffs would be great for Tedesco a repeat of 2012\. so that the rorters fcan have 1 million to their cap for nothing

So based on your logic the Roosters fans should think the same about RTS,the Sharks supporters with Bird and even the Canberra supporters over losing Milford..
Such a sad way to think man

78/129 games played for Tigers. Spent 51 games injured - more than 2 full seasons out of 5 seasons 9 games he's been in NRL

Disloyal, ungrateful, backstabbing deserter

I hope you win nothing and regret this decision for the rest of your life

Cya

Yep. I wish nothing but the worse for the guy.

Are Ben Matulino and Josh Reynolds traitors Dogs..I'm just curious…

No. These guys came here for money. We offered them a lot more than their current clubs were offering. They didn't create drama or complain about trivial little details. They have handled themselves like responsible human beings.

The traitors that have left us have acted like outright scum.

Personally I'm glad they are gone. I think it's much better for the club.

Dropping Woods and Tedesco would be outrageous and shouldn't happen as long as our top 8 hopes are alive. They should remain in the team up until the moment we are out of calculations. If we go on to make the 8, they should be there every week. However, if the season goes pear shaped and we are out of contention for the top 8 by say round 22, then we should consider giving other players an opportunity and some experience heading into 2018\. Give them one final send off in round 26 and then it's see you later. The Team and it's future should be the number 1 priority at all times.

Ahh well never going to compete with the TPA power of the Broncos and Roosters, until there's transfer fees that reward clubs for player development.

Eeven when clubs like the Eels get caught now for rorting the cap, the NRL holds their hand through it and paves the way for them to be back in the game 6 months later buying more marquee players.

Not a system you can have a lot of faith in but it is what is and we are where we are. Hopefully we get more than some fading stars with the cash we have available now.

so. who cares about them. this is our turn to be angry. go away roosterman.

with all the time and investment put into our Juniors to help Rugby League, do you think its worthwhile?
Teddy's decision is really going to hurt junior rugby league in the WestsTigers areas in the future.
I'm sure the club will be looking at how much it costs to develop talent for under 14's or 16's all the way to the top, then loose them to the Roosters. why bother. let them go to other sports or clubs.
We should put all our money into an elite training centre aimed at enticing players in their prime to come to our club.
The Tedesco decision should change the way our business works.

Correct. though we have a unique case in which the guy knocked back 1 million and said we suck and wants to have a chance with a 'winning' team to be the best

Pointless and juvenile.

I wonder how these snowflakes would have handled losing players such as Raudonikis, Boyd, Knight, Ribot, John Dorahy, Graham O'Grady, Ainscough et. al. The Gap would be very crowded.

The only other thing I would say is that the club should get on the front foot and go on shows like NRL360 and the Back Page and explain to the commentators their side of the story. At the moment they are getting kicked from pillar to post and it is not good from the perspective of recruitment, public relations, etc.

I want them to play every minute they possibly can. If we are as poor a side as they say and they want to play at a stronger club than the more their bodies are run down playing for us b4 they move on the better

Absolutely we should change the way we do business, it's clear what we have been doing doesn't work! Developing juniors and keeping players long a waste of time and money - and will continue under the current NRL structure. So we need to get back to concentrating on what is good for business because clearly, that's what it is these days.

Look at the Cronulla template for recruitment, development, age etc.

That's what works in the modern game and it's exactly what we should be doing.

Very Very good point!

anyone heard from Milky? im getting worried.
I and others have taken this much worse than i thought, even though we knew it would happen.
it's kinda just hit me that the West Tigers will from now on be more of a business than a club.

Plot twist: Milky is Teddy.

I don't think so. I really think the club should take a step back and think this through before overreacting. The traitors that have left us aren't good people. It's that simple. It will be rare to have guys coming through like this with absolutely no class as people.

Most guys aren't like this. It's a unique situation.

I also now feel good about this. It's like cutting out cancer.

Who wouldn't take it hard. The club put everything into keeping the junior to ever come through the club. Let other's go to keep him. Than wanted to delay making a decision on his future until there was no one left on the market. What a low life. Thank God the club set a deadline

You know what I really like about the Big 3 contracts is that the three clubs had to pay overs to get them and WT didn't. Now that is a turn-a-round right there.
