In early 40s bro . Those days are gone my guy . I let it go for a couple of days on here hoping it was prisoner of the moment stuff … but it still going into Monday morning , I was like … come on ! It just gave me Luke Brooks memories .
I hate pile ons . Like when people used to back me up against @Tucker , I appreciated it , don’t get me wrong , but I felt like I was rabble rousing , and leading the pitch forks.
Anyways … the mob can get ugly . I know it makes me

I'm early 40s and still have fire in my belly. I would give Trell a taste of his own medicine.

He has lots going for him but I worry about his passing game….too harsh?

I don't think he has an elite passing game but it is decent enough. The issue (but also his strength) is he likes to bounce back inside and pick up runners. If he is given options and there is lazy defender he usually finds the right man showing he can pass well enough. But bouncing back inside means he is less commonly setting up his outside runners but his time at Penrith showed he doesn't often miss any clear opportunities outside he just looks for it less than most 6s (he won't go outside if it's not on).
I said at the time of signing he couldn't possibly perform up to his contract and believe what we have seen justifies this. He is one of the best 6s going around and arguably was a bit of a circuit breaker signing. But if we're expecting $1.2 mil of quality on the field it will just never happen.

I’d like Bula to be trailing through on the inside to take advantage of any gaps up the middle created by Luai ( like Edwards did at Penrith).

Agreed but any player can do it. If you see Luai skipping across they all should get ready. If you have a hole in front of you hit it. If not run unders to hold up the defence and create a hole for the next bloke.
 
The biggest thing we will miss is his leadership. When he was off the field last season, some of these guys completely fell off their jobs, it's like they were children. Hopefully Benji has coached them to be more self sufficient and step up when there is a leadership void. Otherwise we are in trouble.

If he's watching the modern game, he'll see himself winning titles for half of the seasons he's played as a pro. Does that count?? Hey Luai, see what Luai is doing there??? Why can't you do it like that Guy???

As many titles as Alfie Langer and Darren Lockyer. He knows what to do.

I know it’s no excuse but in my opinion he missed tackles due to loss of concentration because he isn’t confident in the defensive capabilities of the two kids outside him.
Those two kids need to be mixed up not on same side of field , if they are both considered ready for first grade

It’s unlikely he will ever hold a candle as a player to those two.
He can’t rely on his more talented team mates now - must step up.
 
Ancient Magpie (?)asked which agent wld receive the commission if Bulas $900k is extended in 27...
ordinarily an option unless drafted otherwise wld be considered part of the original contract,conceived and executed by his former agent...who wld legally be entitled to that $54k
However,I dont think hes a registered player agent any more,so the ARL wld have difficulty processing this .He mite take a short term role under a player agent,but he now works for Dogs and that wld piss off Gould and Moses..nèed him there in 27
A lot depends on contract wording.but thats my simplistic take of the situation

Finally,im now unsure whether we want Bula @$900k for 27;;;need to see more commitment in next few weeks,even tho we have few alterntives internally and no standouts externally
And if Bula does go at year end can see us alternating Tureva/Douhie and Attard for FB role next year....and derailing yet another season

We really needed the lift Jerome gave us.
Yes, he isn't a Latrell Mitchell really a 1.2m player. He is top shelf 5/8 and just class.

We payed overs, we got class. We can build off that.
