OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

In early 40s bro . Those days are gone my guy . I let it go for a couple of days on here hoping it was prisoner of the moment stuff … but it still going into Monday morning , I was like … come on ! It just gave me Luke Brooks memories .
I hate pile ons . Like when people used to back me up against @Tucker , I appreciated it , don’t get me wrong , but I felt like I was rabble rousing , and leading the pitch forks.
Anyways … the mob can get ugly . I know it makes me
Look like a dick . I get that . But I’m hoping drawing this much attention to it , will stop it . The Luke Brooks stuff got seriously out of control .
I'm early 40s and still have fire in my belly. I would give Trell a taste of his own medicine.

I know we shouldn’t continually bag players but when you’re on 1.2M a year a little bit of leeway can be given.

Luai should have nailed that game on the weekend.

Is anyone a bit suss on his passing game, that’s bread and butter for a good 5/8

Am I imagining things or is it rare to see Luai throw a good ball, cutout, double pump or draw players in to create an overlap

He has lots going for him but I worry about his passing game….too harsh?
I don't think he has an elite passing game but it is decent enough. The issue (but also his strength) is he likes to bounce back inside and pick up runners. If he is given options and there is lazy defender he usually finds the right man showing he can pass well enough. But bouncing back inside means he is less commonly setting up his outside runners but his time at Penrith showed he doesn't often miss any clear opportunities outside he just looks for it less than most 6s (he won't go outside if it's not on).
I said at the time of signing he couldn't possibly perform up to his contract and believe what we have seen justifies this. He is one of the best 6s going around and arguably was a bit of a circuit breaker signing. But if we're expecting $1.2 mil of quality on the field it will just never happen.

@Lestronge Not my doing as far as the deletions are concerned. Luckily your lying character assassinations BS has been deleted. I would have prefer mods addressed your lies and not killed the whole conversation.
I said what I said and I stand by every word . These guys are human beings , and I know in Luai’s case , has done more for this club in the past couple of years than anyone . He will have legacy no matter what he does on the field . Of that I’m certain.
We have a game on Friday , probably Madden and AD in the halves with Latu off the bench . I’m quietly confident we can get the job done . Let’s focus on that ..

Ive never said anything about Luia , im a fan.
All Ive said and u have disputed it , Bula is not a 900k player.
I will put it back on the record that you aligned me with death and derogatory comments about Brooks,Seyfarth & Firzhenry , lol funny but i have been a supporter of all of them.
You made comments about me never playing the game .. totally false but that isnt a rule here , about never having a fist fight bla bla bla bla.
Do better bro , the mods aren't going to hide your shit for ever.

Mate the vultures are circling . We lose one game and they turn on the club. It got missed but this forum and our fanbase is full of the worst toxic fandom by some . If it’s not giving these people the dopamine hit at all times , they’re like junkies hanging out . The toxicity is through the roof .uts pathetic to read in my opinion . We lost by 4’points and you’d think it was 40…..
Agreed that there has been some negative overreaction this week just like the positive overreaction from the Cowboys game about Top 8/4/2 finishes. Most Tigers supporters live on the edge coz that’s how we play.
It’s the next 2 weeks that are scaring me ! By Easter Monday we could have lost 3 on the trot and that will put us right behind the 8 ball.

I’d like Bula to be trailing through on the inside to take advantage of any gaps up the middle created by Luai ( like Edwards did at Penrith).

Agreed but any player can do it. If you see Luai skipping across they all should get ready. If you have a hole in front of you hit it. If not run unders to hold up the defence and create a hole for the next bloke.

The biggest thing we will miss is his leadership. When he was off the field last season, some of these guys completely fell off their jobs, it's like they were children. Hopefully Benji has coached them to be more self sufficient and step up when there is a leadership void. Otherwise we are in trouble.
