Forget what he is been paid , we wanted him, that’s the price we had to pay , the rise in the cap each year will cover it , he is a gun 5/8 , we just need a pack to take him forward

We should be getting close to it now mate, maybe one mean cranky pig short but if there isn't improvement this season, I will be shocked and will be throwing my arms in the air and cursing with most of the forum.
 
Does anyone think Jarome could be a good #13? Not for 26... but maybe 27 or 28..

It opens doors for latu and Andrews..

Luai says himself hes best when he plays it how he sees it... and his sort of ball playing up the middle of the ruck mid-set could really bother alot of teams...

Nope he isn’t a middle park player, defensively isn’t great front on and his role is a left edge only.

He doesn’t run straight he only jinks as well.
Would be a terrible failure.

Doubt you will get any support for this idea.
Why should we be trying to create room to shoehorn guys into the top team who haven’t earned it?

Luai came from a Ferrari to a Toyota, or penthouse to the s.it house , I reckon this season we will see a new beast ,a full pre season in the #6 no distractions (Lloyd Christmas) ..and we will be saying pay packet justified ..

I know its more fantasy talk.. i just think the way he could play in that role, he'd be the perfect ball playing runner around the middle creating space... and has a kicking game.. we'd effectively have 3 x halves on the field at the same time, which id see as an advantage with the pace of today's game

A 13 aside from ball playing needs to make 100+ mtrs and make 25+ tackles with another 20 tackle involvements a game.

He wouldn’t be perfect he would be terrible.

Playing him as 5/8th on the left is his position, the one that adds the most value to us.

Batman even said it himself that he is best suited to being Robin a few weeks ago.

i imagine he'd find space quite easy around the ruck, meaning a few carries that are 15+ metres... so the 100+ metres doesn't concern me... but the defence yeah..

He said previously Batman was the wrong term because he did it on his own its a team sport the quality of your top 30 will in large part dictate your success.

You make it sound so simple.

For a guy who has never been a forward and trained as a forward to then just make 15mtrs a few times every game. It’s not that simple.

Nar he's a 6...., he's not built for lock and it doesn't suit his style of play BUT if we find ourselves in the unlikely position of not playing finals footy this year I'd be happy to see if there's potential while blooding the younger fellas in the half's . Couple of dead rubbers at the end of the year.

Looking at the starting point for choosing a lock does Luai have the size for it, I know Latu might fill in at 13 for a while but he's not a long-term proposition be it he's more solid.

I'm going to keep Jolls happy here and suggest Adam will end up there eventually, this year probably not, Latu would have to remain sound and Doueihi add 5kg of muscle.

Looks like the likelihood of buying one from another club is not in the clubs plans it would have happened by now you would think.

As I said mate, its fantasy talk... I dont expect it to happen overnight by any means... just as luai ages and if we want to latu and Andrews, then something has to give at some point.
 
Way I see it,WTs fate in 26 is very much in Luais hands...as out premier playmaker we need more line breaks and try assists and improved kicking game than what we saw last year
Were paying as much for that as we are for his leadership ,which was admittedly is beneficial..but aint worth $1.2 mill
But hes gotta perform the key job were paying him for

Yeah I agree. Atleast this year he wont have his halves partner walk out 10 games into the season.. surely that can only help
