OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

[jrtiger]

Gonna need a lot more than him. Competent coaching staff, players used to losing and accepting shit standards, as well as constant misery is going to be too hard to overcome. It will take another decade at least

another decade 🤣

give it up.

He'll be bleeping a lot next year.

He’s gonna be a good motivator for us on the couch or stands as well

Yes. It would be hard to keep everyone accountable if there's no support from anyone else

Another decade what a load of bullshit .

Another decade what a load of bullshit .

Sincere question. If someone had told you in 2014 that it would be over a decade before we played finals again, how would you have reacted? Similar to this?

Brandon Smith said on Matty Johns show; that he's heard from multiple people that Jarome tries to fight his team-mates at training & he expects high quality of football from them and a high stadnard . Said something along the lines of people don't like it but compared it to Michael Jordan.

Interesting comments.

Think he might be disappointed at WT where mediocrity is seen as aiming for the stars.

Will be a regular punch ons at training perhaps.

Hopefully Luai puts the challenge on his shoulder and really elevates the squad.

And hopefully we're still trying to upgrade the pack

I am reading that wrongly or thought he meant Hughes not Luai didn’t he ? Would have no idea what Luai does at training.

You might be right but they were both at Melbourne for about 5 years so he would have "heard" it from multiple sources, he would have observed it first hand. I think he was talking about Jarome Luai.

Maybe Spencer or Terrell May told him.
Said he heard from multiple people.
🤷‍♂️

( again). The dementias obviously getting worse ! 😃😃

I haven't seen this shared yet, but congrats to Jarome Luai on being voted the 2024 RLPA Player's Dream Team five-eighth. It's a great achievement to be recognised as the best in his position by his peers.
Must admit I thought he might have won the positional Dally M award as well.

That team is hectic.

[mtd#2]

Yeah TDS needs to come on at 28mins roughly and play 10-15mins into 2nd half

This is an issue because we cant have both TDS and Latu coming off the bench...

And Hunt?
We need 6 on the bench!

Jack bird can play a few positions and weights a bit 🤷‍♂️. Just thinking out loud

He’s been Less effective??
Since he joined us he has been our most effective player.
This, despite not having a proper forward pack to work with or an established halves combo or a penetrating backline. Unlike at Penrith.
IMO he has been the best hooker in the game regardless. He scores tries, makes line breaks, assists tries and his general play is incisive, masterful and often unplayable.
I honestly have no idea what you are watching, because other than a few errant sin bins, I doubt anyone playing in the 9 at WT could be any more effective.

Api Koroisau has been unreal for us. A few dumb sin bins but other than that has been brilliant.

Great stuff. Nice guys finish last. You don’t have to like everyone in the work place, you just have to respect them.

I think he missed the most tackles of any player in the NRL
