True but, they don't really have big money committed elsewhere, do they?
Maybe Finucane, Ramien?
Yeh, Finucane, Ramien, Kennedy, Moylan all on decent coin I'd imagine. Talakai got a pretty healthy upgrade when he played Origin too.

You make a fair point. They actually seem a pretty balanced squad to be fair, particularly financially.

Yep forgot about Talakai, I think Bubba extended his deal for not too much money.
In my hypothetical I think they find a way to shift Moylan, maybe even back to Penrith and complete the circle.
But yeah they seem from the outside looking in like a very balanced roster, who knows though, if you look at Zero tackle their squad actually looks pretty average, I think they might be in for a bit of a slide this year, especially if Hynes is unable to recapture his form and they don't make any significant moves this off season.

I did a google search and there is no rumblings around AD to the Panthers, few articles of when we played them and AD patting Critta on the head.

I'd say we have more credible posters on here than the zero tackle writer who's suggesting a few names for Luais replacement.

Anyway, AD isn't a factor until he can come back and if he can be a factor when he does come back... Panthers aren't taking that risk.
AD can go anyway. Until he sorts his attitude in defence and play a position good for the team and not him hel be a liability.

Agree Suzie. We’ve been talking about having talented juniors coming through the ranks for years, but while we kept a spot open in first grade for them, they’re now playing at other clubs. We’ve never been good at succession planning, I think because we’ve not had a master plan, so we need to do both.
We haven't had any good juniors to speak of for almost a decade. Not since the big 4...

Apparently Daine Laurey has been getting around Penrith area telling people he will be starting 5/8 next season. My nephew is right into his bikes and scooters and has hit jumps with him abit he and a few of his friends have told me the same thing. It might just be him being confident he can out play luai or could mean the end of luai as a panther take it as U please 🤔

Sounds like big noting to me

There must be something in the water out at Penrith

TBH that's a pretty good money saver from Penrith.

Ofc Luai is the much better player, but at what Laurie costs - and if he takes his footy seriously, which is likely at his beloved Panthers (surrounded by class players) - then that's a whole lot of $$ saved.

Bet they wished they kept cogger if this was true

Just my opinion, but where there's smoke, there's fire. And there's a bunch of smoke about Luai moving.
I reckon he's gone from Penrith, but where he's going? That's going to take a minute.
Still think the Sharks are quiet front runners, Roosters haven't entered the race yet, but if they lose manu, Luai is getting a call.
Then you've got some other smokeys like raiders, dragons.
I think Tigers are well in the mix, but they're certainly not alone
Trust me. Being on the bottom is alone. Unless one is strong. And just out of curiosity - is that true - Roosters haven't enquired?

Let him go..The amount of time people put into talking about kids who haven’t even debuted is nuts. If you look at history, not many of these kids amount to anything.
Exactly and it's such a dumb attitude.

You make premadonna's and precious players if they do stay.
Look at how SBW ruined the bulldogs. Demanded 500k then got lost anyway.
Likewise Sualili, Valentine Holmes with the Sharks, a whole bunch of players.... and ofcourse.
Our big 4.

Yea, it's league and we have to pay good $$$ for good players.
However no more bowing down to precious pedals.

I would be surprised if the Sharks would have both Hynes and Luai on well over $1 million/year as their halves. They would be the only team in the competition with 2 halves both on over a mill.
It would be worth it.

Honestly Luai has a good 3-5 years in him and is possibly going to avoid origin.
Hynes seems to get Halfback, he could really use a livewire like Luai.

Melbourne actually has a 1mil halves pairing IMHO. jehrome hugues + Munster are both 1m players taking unders to stay in the Melbourne system. Ezra Mam is likely to surpass Reynolds and if he can regularly pull of his grand final stunts is going to be the Gun of the future.
