First it was going to be announced by Xmas, to give everyone a present, now it’s going to be in the New Year when Richo starts. That will turn into February to get everyone psyched for the start of the season. And so on. He’s signed, 100%. But what the hold up is, God only knows.

They want to announce the signing next week. Luai initially accepted the offer on Friday the 15th of December and informed Panthers teammates he is leaving on the morning of the 16th (Saturday). Luai returns to training at Penrith in the second week of January - a relative of Luai I know told me that Luai is going to decide his future before then. Announcement could happen anytime but most likely next week between Tuesday-Friday

Unless Luai has reservations or is entertaining other offers, this long, drawn-out signing stuff from WT is ridiculous and so amateur.
Even though it will still be incredible and exciting to land him, it will now be met with considerable degree of relief from fans.
This is just not the way to do it.
The word has been out for weeks now.
For future signings, they should be done swiftly, with conditions that do not allow for these crap delays. Signings and announcements should be made ASAP, especially if the media have reported it. Otherwise it not only sucks the life right out of it from a fan perspective, it gives cause for doubt, plus the opportunity for the player to back out.
And if that happens, well, that would be just terrible for many reasons.

Yeah, so to be clear, he signed but he is taking the time off to decide his future? Despite the Panthers supposedly baulking at their right of reply.
I would prefer to listen to the player himself. He said he had signed nothing at that point of time.

2 of my sons play at St Marys also. I’d say two thirds of my older blokes team attend St Doms whilst the other third attend St Pats.

Yeah I went to Doms and played there as a junior but never made it into Matt’s or Fleg (at Penrith) and gave it away after one too many injuries as a young bloke. St Mary’s always had strong sides back then. Assume it’s the same now
