**Is a Rabbitohs premiership winner about to change his stripes?**
>
The Wests Tigers are still on the lookout for another prop to join their ranks prior to the June 30 deadline. The club recently missed out on Newcastle’s Kade Snowden who has been battling chronic injuries.
>
There’s talk that premiership winning South Sydney forward Jason Clark could soon find himself in the black, gold and white of the joint venture club after recently being dumped to Intrust Super Premiership.
>
Clark’s latest appearance was in a losing effort for North Sydney in Mossvale ironically against Wests.
>
Adding more intrigue to the situation is Souths coach Michael Maguire just last week forced the Rabbitohs to train on the Sunday, an unscheduled session, at the same time of the christening of Clark’s baby where the majority of the Rabbitohs squad were originally headed.

I'm going to spend $20 on an online website course & start pumping out rumours. "Trouble at the Broncos - Milford to return to Raiders unless Alex Glenn apologises for using his deodorant."

Hope Milford comes to us.. Rumor has it he is fed up at the Broncos and ready to leave even on less money.

Source - guy online has broke ranks and setting up his own website. He is the real deal.

Please note - attempted humour.

Clark is just another tackling machine that is pretty one diminutional. If we had not signed ET you might have a dash at him, but I certainly do not see him as a front rower

Kade Snowden would have been nice. What a bummer.

Clarke is a bit meh, but would bring some experience. No worse than some of the other dregs we've had pull on the jumper this yr.

I honestly don't understand the problems or critics of Jason Clark here.

Let's start and compare him to Sirro this year

Clark v Sirro
Ave Min - 33 v 61
Ave Runs - 9.9 v 6.3 - So 30% more per match in half the time
Ave Meters - 77 v 63 - SO 22% more in half the time
Ave tackles - 27.3 v 25.2 - So more tackles in half the time
Effective Tackle % - 96.5% v 88.3% - So makes more tackles and is much more effective
Errors - 4 each but Siro has played 100 mins more and touched the ball less
Penalties Against - 3 v 7 so half the penalties against

He also brings 120 FG games experience to an inexperienced squad.

So can someone explain to me why we wouldn't see Clarke as an improvement to our starting line up let alone our bench.

As for the rumour around the christening that is the third time I've heard that and let me tell you if a coach pulled that crap on a special day for my family then I would be out of their too - low move

Probably another Moley rumour from nothing. But just wondering if this could be a Halatau replacement? He's not a big guy either so probably better in the back row/lock off the bench. Has 120 games of something behind him so brings a bit of experience for when Dene goes. Could be a handy budget depth signing.

You don't replace one bog average with another.

You attempt to sign qualty no bs attitude players from the NRL or look over to the ESL, heres a list of who i would target…

- Sam Moa
- Kenny Bromwich
- Daniel/Jacob Saifiti
- Sam Tagateese
- Danny Wicks
- Jarrod Wallace
- Jason Bukuya
- Tariq Sims

Pick up three of the above and we are already in a much better place than we are in at the moment.

Milky you also can't have a team that's over the cap and by all accounts we have cap problems. Every club needs a few journeymen with experience to complement the young guys in some way. I don't rate Clark as a player, but in terms of depth that's something every club needs. Clark would probably sit in reserve grade, but he is a guy who could comfortably hold a spot in firsts if we got an injury or someone was out of form.

Halatau and Joel Edwards are two I can think of off the top of my head that are experienced journeymen and Griffin is to an extent also, but with first grade experience.

More than half the players you've named would command decent coin and the others are rookies which we have plenty of or no better than Clark.

There are better options out there than Clark I'll admit, but I can also see some positives even if he is toiling in reserves waiting on a call up.

Kade Snowden is completely busted and won't play another game of NRL.

Jason Clark is ordinary and signing him would be a waste of money. He's not going to make us any better as a team. Experienced or not he's just an underwhelming player. I think we'd be better off persisting with younger players already on our books like Aloiai, Chee Kam, Fine and Sironen. I also think Griffin would offer more than Clark if he were given a shot.
