The cry is always "we're building for _next_ year, we'll be able to be more active in the player market _next_ year", but next year never comes! I borrowed a line from a post by Ricksen for my signature because I thought it summed up perfectly the way many of us are probably feeling about the never ending mismanagement of our club - **"Sooner or later next year has to be this year!"**

I completely agree. I don't care about these we are in a rebuilding phase lines. We were in a rebuilding phase in 05 and we won the comp.

How about we just try and win the comp next year. If we do great. If we don't but we have a good season that is great too.

Next year will be the year.

It will be the third year of the original plan put in place by the majority independent board, which upon the new agreement with a helping hand from Wests this year is now settled.

It will be the year when we finally sort out our problem with facilities.

It will be the year in which our top line juniors decide their and our future. I think all will stay.

It will be the last year that we are hamstrung from the retention decisions of the previous board and CEO. May have the 2018 option given to Sirro as a headache, but it will be minor compared to the cap amount that year.

I also think it will be the year when we go into the final round/s knowing we are playing finals footy and the one in which a fair few on here are going to be really disappointed early on when the coach extends his stay.

**Lastly, it will be Farah free**.

But we still be forking out heaps for the privilege. At the time of Farah's departure wasn't it stated in the presser that he could return to the Club in another role?

I'm hopeful Robbie will be the coach in a couple of years time.

I'm sure you are Steve

Probably explains why you hate Taylor and Potter in the past

Give me 3 specials skills that Robbie has that will make him the next Craig Bellamy

Oh steve …you didn't even have to use live bait...jumped straight in the boat...

Well played Sir...

Did you just wreck another keyboard when the dribble you just typed destroyed it ??

Obviously steve is fishing…no one could be that dopey to think Farah would make a good Coach...after the team had 1 loss he wouldn't talk to them for a week...

Now if he can just get rid of the other 15 teams, we'll be sweet!

I don't think so

Steve doesn't rate defence very highly , every top coach in the NRL has it as their No 1 priority

Makes sense that Steve would think Farah was the next "Supercoach"

No offence intended Supercoach

That was gold wasn't it. My mate happy gets riled up easily doesn't he. You'd actually think he doesn't like Robbie at times.

You have me a little wrong. I think Robbie would be a coach in the mould of the great sticky Stuart.

He has a passion for winning games and we all know how much most of the forumers like someone who can come in and get fired up about winning.

It would also be a welcome back to one of the clubs great players.

Happy - Robbie would definitely have defence as a high priority. He would not accept losing and has a passion for the club. Plus he has a great footy brain.

He is a great option.

Just on a side note I rate defence extremely highly. I think it's just as important as having a good offence.

Have a great footy brain doesn't make you a great footy coach

Ask Wally Lewis

What could Farah teach players , he didn't learn much as a player

Whenever things didn't work Robbie would do things Robbie's way , and the results as him as a captain of this club just speak volumes

Too busy looking for short cuts

I rate Robbie as a player , said it a thousand times , maybe getting away from our politics (that he was way too involved in ) might be a godsend for his career

There are many good opinions on this topic, some positive, some negative, however,I honestly think that with a good top 25,a new defense coach and the younger group developing into top NRL prospects with many games under their belt, next year will be an improvement on last year with the expectation of playing finals football…let's face it not only does JT have to once again show that he can coach the side competantly,Brooks must show further improvement as a top NRL playmaker, the right side defense needs to improve dramatically for us to stop leaking points, maybe if Idris fills in if he is contracted this could solve part of the problems we have been having...the other thing that I have expectations of is that Ballin will be fit and Liddle will exceed expectations as a prospective NRL hooker, the recruiting of Mcillrick will also benefit some of the younger players in the squad..all in all I'm quite looking forward to a year of hopefully no dramas and the team gets on with the job of playing good football setting up for a finals appearance that we all have been hoping for.

Happy no offence taken, Iam with you Farah might have been a top no nine and blessed with some real skill but a future coach…I don't think so, I think his personality, people skills would let him down. Of course could be wrong but coaching these days is about motivating and people management as much as anything and I do not see Farah as a person with these skills

I think he has moved on, if the papers want to interview him then so be it. I'm sure he is feeling the love at rabbits as all new recruits at any club are made to feel and I'm sure even the harshest of RF critics can accept that after a tough time with one employer it is great to go somewhere and to feel the love from coaches, managers and players.

I read the article yesterday in the DT and thought about posting but thought it has nothing to do with us and left it out.

I think the Robbie haters need to move on.

he could even rattle the stats off about defence losing games when he was booted out of first grade - seemed clue-er than Jason about what needed doing. Has a broader game than Jason because he also knows that tries can be scored up the middle if the opposition don't have their player positons correct. And he can show them how not to be intimidated - sort it out in the scrum.
