I think JT has been through hell the past few weeks, lets face it he has probably had to watch the video of the knights and cowboys game on numerous occasions. I mean it screwed me having had to watch the games once. No wonder he is talking with forked tongue

It seems he's that confused he doesn't know where to start . At the moment he has to improvise from the squad he's got .
Once he gets to sign the players he wants there is no hiding there .

When do we ever get the players we want?

In our dreams ,that's about it

Seriously though JT had to start somewhere , and it took the Dragons about a month to sort their defence out

We have an accumulation of things to fix to go with our defence.
But we are lacking experience and quality 1st Graders.
There is a number of our players that would struggle to get a start in most NRL sides.

Is still comes down to having the right attitude and mentality in the club despite our lack our playing strength

We will improve and the players will have the right attitude if (and when hopefully ) we do get the right players

But then again many of these players have only known what is at the club , when they are drilled properly they may improve , we just don't know

JT's defensive structures have apparently been drilled into the team since November last year, any player who can't remember the drills by now should not be in First grade

And to have no attack at all is laughable. Honestly people need to recognize a con artist when they are standing in front of you dribbling their crap.

The thing that worries me is talking to a Souths supporter and he said he could barely watch souths when Taylor was coach they were so boring. They made the finals for the first time in god knows how long and he struggled to watch. That's a concern that it won't get better

Please, let me be bored all the way to the finals.

Structures is one thing but having the right attitude and cattle to implement consistently is also a requirement and is just as important. IMO this has been our problem not so much the structure. most of our playing group have been brought up with a mentality of attack attack with little focus on defence , especially tough consistent defence. Also because most are young and not long out of NYC getting them to develop an attitude of touch consistent defence is not going to be easy. What does this mean? If we don't buy some cattle who have a tough defensive mentality we will continue to struggle.

I would feel the same way if we were winning enough games to actually make it finals. The point im making is we aren't winning those games and there appears to be a reasonable chance it won't improve.

On the subject of cattle I hope we have not signed Pauli Pauli, he is not going to solve any defensive issues

That would be great but based on how we have performed so far do you really think that this is going to happen.

**'The problem is that you can’t attack with this really flamboyant style and think you can defend really stoutly…'**
Why not?
Does this mean if you can defend well it automatically dulls your attack? :crazy

At the very least, watching the video, surely you can see Taylor has a long-term strategy and it is based on facts, on actual performances from previous seasons. Maybe it's the wrong strategy, maybe we will find out he can't make it work. But surely it's too early to call that?

I don't think that this is true at all. I think he is spinning stories all over the place in an effort to deflect attention away from his poor performance so far.

I don't think its a long term plan at all. Its his plan right now and its not working. I'd prefer it if he just admitted it rather than blaming previous players and coaches for his failings. He has said a bunch of classless stuff like this since he got here. He should accept the reality of the situation which is that he has to perform. His excuses aren't going to matter if we don't start winning games.

Actually Steve the whole thing is a conspiracy - Taylor is still employed by the Rorters to undermine us, talk BS and spin stories.

When he destroys any confidence we might have had, got rid of all our dangerous players and when his contract is up and we collect the spoon for the third time - he is going back to the Rorters. This is Nicks great plan.

Exactly. How anyone is buying his dribble astounds me.

I wouldn't be surprised if you believe this. You are proving to have an amazing ability to believe anything.

I'll stick to reality. We have at this point the worst coach that the Tigers have ever had. The team is performing terribly and in fact appear to be going backwards especially if you consider the good luck with injuries that we have had.

I only hope that Taylor is either sacked, he wakes up to himself and changes his whole approach or the players start completely ignoring the muppet.

I can imagine how the players feel now. I mean there was supposedly a revolt against Potter and statements that he couldn't coach. Can you imagine how they are feeling about this guy.

Reality lol…Sack the Coach 6 months into a 3 year deal....pay him out with what exactly...yep that'll work....replaced by,,,,?

I can't see it happening but geez so far he is coming across as a massive dud. Lets hope something changes otherwise we are screwed.

Taylor in charge reminds me of when warren Ryan came to wests. They lost a lot of games by a few points early on in the season as Ryan taught them wazza ball. By the end of the year we snuck into the finals. Ryan's coaching was based on defence and eventually the attack came. I reckon we might get on a run when we can crack it for that big win.

If that is what it takes. Off the top of your head, who were the wooden spooners last year?
