JASON TAYLOR

Can someone Email the Club and get JT to read some of the Threads here on the Forum , he might learn something from us

Taylor has to cop the blame for this loss.

All year he has tried to build momentum, not letting the team get too far ahead. Today we were absolutely killing them and then he started to play with the bench and ruined all the momentum.

Rookie mistake.

Actually i think Taylor is astute and will learn from his bench rotation flaws today.
I also hope he has his defence coach lined up for a big week…

Ive got it on good advice that two of our rep players were laughing after the game. If this is their attitude then im starting to think Jason Taylor is the wrong fit for this club.

he wants to test us in those 10-15 minutes without farah, taupau, gal and woods- that's the only logical explanation. i think it's the wrong choice and hope he realises it sooner rather than later. all the teams now know that if they wanna attack us, do it after half time.

a couple of losses may give him the hint that he needs.

Im pretty sure hes hoping Sue,Buchanan,Lovett and co will grow into their roles either side of halftime without having to rely on the big 3 of Woods,Gal and Taps.22 nil up after 18 Mins(and still 22 minutes WITH the breeze) to go and we lose from there irrespective of our bench we should of won from there. Our bench will look much better when Lodge returns.

- speaks well
- said it wasnt a plan to have farah, taupau, keith and woods off at the same time
- thought we defended well in the 2nd half inconsistently

Goodness me how many players are we carrying so that they will grow into their roles.

If this was true why wasn't this thread started last Tuesday, or the Tuesday before that. I don't believe it is fair to post a thread like this after a poor loss. If you believe this then why are you only posting it now?

He is holding us back until we get used to playing tight games with his defensive structures in place, and then he will let our attacking players loose. We obviously aren't there yet.

I dont care how astute you are IF you do let two rep players joke about in the sheds after that crap you will amount to nothing.Manly and Canterbury never lose with a smile(probably why they dont give up 22 nil leads and why they always win the close games).

This club forever seems to be like the warriors when they lose games where for much of the game they hold ascendency whereas your dogs type teams seem to win a lot of games that they trail for much of thru a relentless true grit and will to win.In first grade football nice guys do finish last and we are the nicest of the lot.We need to learn to never take our foot off their throats.

It only took 7 rounds…..Sheensy had 10 years...spare me days..

The Eastern Suburbs roosters coach Trent Robinson made his mark very early in the piece. They're was no muckin around there. There are exceptions to the rule.

He is doing fine. This is the only game all year where I have been disappointed in the performance. Closes losses to the Warriors and the Dogs.

Today was poor but the test is how we back up from this.

I recall the Roosters giving up a healthy start against the Sharks last year (or the year before?)

Most professional coaches in any sport get criticised after a few losses thats how the club stays competitive, I believe our club can be competitive therefore the thread was started.
Holding us back'''' ok team if you see a chance to score! Dont we need to deal with our defensive structure????

Think Robinson inherited close to a SOO team…..no wonder he looked good.
Taylor inherited a team that lost its best 3 backrowers, its best playmaker half and its most experienced back.
Hard to compare

You can add Brooks and Moses to that list aswell. We just are so young.I think the fact we are such a young team is also contributing to us running out of steam. We are very talented we are heading in the right direction we just need to put the miles in our legs.

Tigers simply don't have the depth; what is more worrying is that all 3 grades have getting beaten over the past weeks. Good sides don't loose from 18-0 and 22-0\. We all hope they improve; facts are our 1/2 and 5/8 are struggling to find form, our fullback cannot tackle as the last line and we are a bit thin on bench and seem to get lost in tight situations. There is hope for the future.

I still don't think Taylor has full control when it comes to selection think about who Moses is related to..,
