Jeff Lima

Todays Tele says Clinton looks set to join Hull KR or Celtic. Tried to find the article on their website but couldnt. Hopefully a deal will be done quick with him so we dont even come into the picture.

I like Al and would like to see him get more game time. Needs to get more involved when he is on. Will he be a champion? Not sure, but he could be as good as Luke Bailey was IMHO. Similar builds and similar penetration. Now needs to increase work rate and aggression.

I've only ever seen Joel Clinton live once and that was the game that he got absolutely drilled in that head clash earlier this year against the Warriors. Up until that point he was the best player on the field, dominating every forward and working his arse off. If he could find the passion he could be brilliant again.

Clinton could easily be another O'Hara for us… I wouldn't touch him but he has a lot of ability when the attitude is right

yeah i heard that too. Johnson hasnt asked for a release yet, but its expected Harlequins will offer him a deal as they are losing Ryles who apparently is going to the roosters

From taranakidailynews.co.nz (not exclusive :slight_smile🙂

EXCLUSIVE: THE Warriors have missed out on securing the services of Kiwis and Storm hard-hitter Jeff Lima, who now looks set to sign a deal with the Tigers.
The Storm prop is contracted to the Melbourne outfit for two more years but has been told the club will consider releasing him if he wants out.
His agent Sam Ayoub recently had discussions with the Warriors about the possibility of signing Lima but it's understood his preference would be to move back to Sydney.
"A little while ago, for personal reasons, Jeff asked if he could be released so he could move back to Sydney," Ayoub told Sunday News yesterday.
"Melbourne knocked him back at the time and said they wouldn't release him. As it turned out, he's sorted out his personal issues and remained down there.
"However, Melbourne have since come back and said they would consider letting him go to Sydney if he wants to.
"I spoke with (Warriors CEO) Wayne Scurrah and the Warriors did express an interest in Jeff.
"To be honest, though, I did convey to them that if Jeff was to leave the Storm it would be for the purpose of moving to Sydney."
Ayoub said it was possible Lima, who played for the Tigers in 2004, would move back to his old club.
"We've had some discussions with the Tigers just as we've had some talks with some other Sydney-based clubs as well," he said.
"In a sense, if it worked out, Jeff's initial preference would be to move to the Tigers because that's where he's come from and he has some very good friends there.
"It's for that reason we are potentially leaning towards the Tigers if we can make it happen."

Gut feeling is that we will miss out on Lima - not too worries really with the signing of Cayless and some very good young prospects looking ready to make the move up we should be ok.

I would sign Cashmere as a backup though.

So it all hinges on Dallas Johnson apparently. Does anyone know the latest there? What about that guy on here claiming he knows AJ; do you know anything?

Rubbish, , he is exactly what we need, heaps of mongrel, no nonsence type of player,

WE need to sign him now.. :smiling_imp:
