Jeff Lima

Sounds a bit strange on the surface, but then again, I don't have all the facts (salary cap, other potential signings) so I will reserve judgment on how this one is being handled until we know more (i.e. the makeup of our final 25, who we signed, who we missed out on through insufficient offers). I agree, Lima should be a priority though. If we can get LIma, Cayless and Tuqiri with astute contract management I am pretty sure the majority of tigers supporters will be quite satisfied with the club management.

Mate if the club managed to sign all three of those players, while still keeping Marshall, Lawrence, Farah, Tuiaki and Ellis on the books it'd be one of the greatest signing efforts ever!

Nice dream but I can't see it happening…

Agreed, it is an outside chance. My point was more along the lines of they should be negotiating as responsibly as possible, not wasting money, while still knowing who their real key signings are - those they can afford to splurge on. I think as supporters we need to admit we don't have all the facts and wait somewhat patiently for the final 25 to be secured before we criticise the club.

I for one will be happy if we get Lima and miss out on the other two.

How about we all chip in and pick up the money the Tigers want the storm to pay???

It seems the only way we will get him….

if we go through another off season without a major signing in the front row. i will start to believe we will win the spoon in 2010.

haha im not a bettin man, but with galloways injurys, gibbs ill descipline and payne/galea gooone we dont have much up front, lets hope the 20's props r ready aye.

We cant predict injuries etc, but i think your a little too harsh on our front row options. I totally agree one more addition like Lima would be great, but if u look at most other clubs, they dont exactly have a whole bunch of options. The Dogs have stuff all in front row quality outside Hannant and Hodgson.

I'd love to get Lima, but if we dont, we can survive with Galloway, Gibbs, Payten, Shirnack, Moors and Gower. I know Gower is a better backrower, but if we did get hit in the front row with injuries, he's a pretty damm good 6th option.

You can predict at least 1 or 2 of your top line forwards will spend some time on the sideline…..you have too admit that Sirro

I don't think you can have too many quality front rowers....Lima is quality....lets hope we don't have to call on Gower so he can take Heighno's spot when he has one of his average games.....

Geo, i did say i wanted another quality front rower, and would love Lima, i was just making the point that all isnt lost if we dont pick up another prop. And just so u know, Gower should be starting before Heighno

Snowy…it's no joke mate''''

Sirro doesn't rate Heighno to highly these days......short memory.....Anyhow he has been calling for his head for a while something about balance and picking backrowers who hit holes for Benji...He's actually starting to win me over....

he forgets though Cause we lacked Props...Heighno was used as a battering ram up the guts cause of his high workrate and ticker....

FTR....Heighno would be in my starting side everytime....he needs to be interchanged now IMO....60mins of him would be perfect........

If we get Lima 😛ray: ...Heigno can get wider and more destrutive in attack.......

I know Heighno had a quiet season but also still rate him as quality player we need next year, this is gonna sound like I am stating the obvious but Heighno is our Hindmarsh when fully fit and in form which I 😛ray: he will be next season!
Back on topic Lima is a GUN, imo if we sign him I will take it as our marque signing!

Depending on the moeny available Lima Would be awesome to have, and if the club can grab Cayless then the tigers will have a swesome forward pack with exciting halves with a gun backline with or without Lote but even better with him

IMO we will only sign one of those players mentioned if we are lucky, if I had to pick one it would be Lote but would not be unhappy with any of them.

so a front row signing is going to make the difference between us getting the spoon or not… even though our roster is better then 09... wake up

wake up aye, did u honeslty think sharks and roosters would be playin for the spoon this yr….. sharks equal first(3rd on for and against) and roosters 4th the yr before. with no extra meat up front galloway will be smashed out of the game. gibbs will turn us into a defence machine and our back rowers will be making 40plus tackles a game and have nothing in attack.

Not taking sides but the sharks and the roosters finished last and second last respectivily not because they had a lack of props, its because both sides had major internal issues that have never been seen in rugby league history
