A barn storming try from Faagatu extended the lead and then a counter attack saw Peni tackled on halfway, Matai spreads it to Camroux who runs 40m to score out wide
28-14
@balmain boy from what you have seen of Camroux, do you think he has a future as a centre to utilise his speed?

Seems the club do not think he is a halves solution & was moved out of fullback after an opportunity.

Might be worth a shot.

I admit to not having seen much of his speed until recently but he sure ran a lot on the weekend. Seems to be his strongest asset. Fullback may be more likely, not sure what he's like under the high ball though.

I remember a story that Melinda Gainsford thought he had potential to be a future Australian sprint rep.

Saw some highlights of him with some poor efforts earlier this season in cover defence as a fullback - seemed reluctant to put his body on the line.

Planning on heading out to this game and NSW Cup tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing Matai in particular (hopefully he gets some bigger minutes).

Hoping a few late changes might see a couple of Miller, Da Silva, Kit, Tuipolotu get a run tomorrow too.
Send Flegg updates if you can mate!

Had an early opportunity, but couldnt ice it. Dragons make a break and next tackle put a kick over the top and open the scoring. 6 nil Dragons. Feledy has been involved in a few decent runs early.

Really poor defence on the 2nd tackle after points sees their centre race pretty much 80 m untocuhed after he runs through a hole between Henson and Tempest. 10 nil.

We had got all the momentum and lifted instensity. But they score a 90m runaway try from a scrum. Down 14 to 12 at half time.

Lolesio was great to start. Fa'agutu and Herman are beasts. One Herman run back from a drop out had some serious intensity. Fa'agutu had a massive effort play when he charged down a kick and nearly got a regather in goal...but forced the fullback to knock it dead.

Not getting the fundamentals right to start this half. Dropped play the ball from Herman after a strong run, kicking ball dead, caught on the last halfway out. Back to back penalties. Dragons now lead 26 to 12 with 23 to go.

Faagutu just put on report too...I think a late shot off the ball, but not sure.

Our right edge is getting hammered. Nearly every try through there. Feledy and Kirk look solid on the left. 32 to 12, this game looks done.

Game over. Some positives and some frustrating parts to the game.

Feledy was great. Held his own defensively and when we had the ball (limited in 2nd half), he looked likely every time he touched it.

Matai mostly had to defend during his time on the field, but his passing looks pretty crisp. More game time and more involvement is needed for him.

Fa'agutu was impressive and so was Lolesio.

Sounds like we still make too many sloppy mistakes, players clocking off and get punished. Not selecting our best players is costly. Hopefully Saukuru in the centres next week
